Biography
Luna wandered through the forest, her white fur blowing up towards her head as the wind pushed her further into the cluster of blackened, charred trees.
Luna whined, her eyes wide with fear as she heard a low, long howl from up in a tree. she looked up, a shadowed figure standing on the charred branch above her. The form's red eyes glittered, the only thing Luna could make out from the dark form. It snarled, jumping down from the branch and in front of Luna. Luna could see it clearly now, it was a pitch black wolf, red eyes almost slits, drool spilling from their mouth, their tongue running over their rows of teeth. The wolf towered over Luna, Their majestic yet terrifying form almost 3 times her size. "Who are you?"The Wolf boomed, his voice vibrating in his chest. "My name is..Luna.. who are you?",Luna stammered, shrinking back.
"My name is Katana, do not be afraid, I am not going to harm you",He barked back,"Why have you entered the dark forest? my pack does not like other wolves, you could get hurt." "Your.... pack?",Luna asked, confused. "did you not sense anything? This is DarkFang territory.",Katana replied, his ears flicking back. Luna put down her head in shame, her ears flattening to her head. "no..",she sighed. "What is wrong?",Katana questioned. "I...I can't smell..",Luna stammered, her voice wavering. Since she was a pup nobody had ever accepted her for this news, since she couldn't smell, she was never given an opportunity to hunt, and became the outcast of her pack, even though she was the swiftest of the GoldenClaws pack.
Katana looked down at her, his red eyes becoming a more yellowish color as rays of sunlight peeked through the branches. "Come with me.",he said suddenly, turning on the spot and running deeper into the forest.
Luna hesitated for a moment, and then quickly sprinted after him. They ran through the forest, until at last, they reached the edge of a cliff, Katana sat down, and soon, Luna did as well. "Luna is a beautiful name you know...",Katana growled softly. "Thank you..",Luna said, hesitant.
"Do you know what it means?",He asked. "No..",Luna said, wondering. "It means Moon, Luna, it means Moon... Imagine yourself as the moon, right there, do you see it slowly shrinking like a dot on the horizon?",he questioned. Luna nodded, her ears perking up with curiosity. "As the moon falls, the sun rises, imagine your strengths the moon, and your weaknesses as the sun, when the moon is out, the sun leaves, and when the sun is out, the moon leaves... you seem like a fast wolf, almost passed by me numerous times while we were running, even though I began first and am much larger, while one side of you might be weak, meaning the sun, which can shine brighter at times, the moon can be much brighter, when you feel sad, or weak, like perhaps a crescent moon, think of the full moon, your strengths." Both were silent for a long moment, and finally, luna whispered a quiet "thank you".
Katana licked Luna on the nose, and threw his head up to the sky, letting out a long howl. Luna drew in closer to Katana as the wind blew harder, and howled with him, both howls mingling together to make a beautiful song...
As the years passed by, Katana eventually introduced Luna to his pack as the Alpha Female, Luna became more confident, she hunted, and led the pack with strength. And every night, the pack would howl together, and listened to the sweet song... the song of Love, Happiness, Courage, Confidence...and Peace
