How the pack works:
1. The George name is passed to the eldest son of the alpha pair, regardless of if the previous George was brother or father of the current alpha (see Aspen. Her dad was George II, next generation her brother George III, and the next her son George IV. Easy right?).
2. The alpha pair will not have pups till at least 4 years old. Wolves who aren't an alpha, heir or heir consort are exempt.
3. The alpha pair only has one litter unless something tragic befalls the entire litter. (It's a wild world out there, anything can happen)
4. The chosen heir is the best and brightest of their litter. (Usually takes between 2 irl days and a whole in game season. Sometimes it comes down to how they grow. Only then are they given the title.)
5. The heir must pair with a consort of their same age.
6. There are 2 classes. The warrior class and the Adonis class.
7.The Adonis class doesn't receive individual ranks pertaining to their status. A wolf receives Adonis status purely based on wether or not I think they're pretty.
8. The divide between Adonis and warrior is very grey. You cannot perfectly divide the two classes. A warrior can be pretty and fight at the same time.
8.1 This is not always the case. See Aspen, Juno, and Ralph. Aspen is pretty and can fight. Juno is pretty and isn't even close to being a fighter. Ralph is an excellent fighter but, to me, looks meh.
9. The warrior class is made of 4 parts: Cadets, Squires, Knights, and Reserves. Candidates are chosen from birth but other ways wolves join the warrior class, if lucky can land themselves in the Reserves.
10. Cadets are pups chosen from birth for their promising qualities.
11. Squires are juveniles between ages 2 and 3, who go on patrol and explore with knights as they learn to fight.
12. Particularly promising Cadets may shadow the patrol as early as they like, however the heir has priority over any Cadet.
13. After the age of 10, any warrior may be exempt from battle unless called upon for active duty and is given the title of wise one. They go on to teach the young ones their craft.
My packs lore?
It all started in the beginning as all stories tend to do.
With two Alphas: Romeo and Darling.
Together they wandered the forest , sustaining their little pack of two by taking down prey, which got larger as they got stronger.
They wandered together in this fashion for many weeks, when one day they had 3 more mouths to feed. Pups, small, adorable, perfect.
Two fell immediately to the strain of poor meals and an approaching winter.
The third, Chronos, survived and grew stronger, but he too was not meant to be, for one day on a hunting trip with his father, he received a swift kick in the head from an enraged deer.
One day, while out hunting, Romeo found a pup and brought him home, hoping to console Darling and help her work through her grief.
This pup, George, grew to be a mighty alpha, and he soon had a son. George II gained friends, expanding the pack and soon had pups of his own.
Aspen now holds the mantle of alpha, as her brother, George III, passed at the age of 2 in a solo hunting incident. With Dante, who trained under George II, Aspen swore to uphold the family legacy and expand their empire (such as it is).
Dante and Aspen welcomed their son and heir George IV (read: the Fourth) the same year. They also welcomed three other pups into their pack. One born, two adopted.
The pack grows stronger day by day.
