The sun had given up the day and left room for the night. So lonely. New fallen snow stuck in his paws as he wandered through the forest. The temperature had dropped significantly and not even his thick fur could keep out the cold.
Why was he alone?
The stars slowly came out from their hiding. Shone faintly at first, but stronger as the night went by. Soon they would have company by the moon.
But he was still alone.
He called into the night. A hollow cry that reached for miles. But no answer was to be heard. He sat still. The frost started to cling to his hair but the cold had lost significance long ago. The absence of hope was nearly touchable. As a statue he became one with the dark. One with the night.~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~And So I Dream~Between the white dead oak-tress with branches longingly reaching for the endless nothingness of the sky, a wolf with the brown color of rotting leaves sorrowfully walked step by misled step in an uneven terribly slow pace; with no goal to reach the purpose of time is distantly lost and the wasting of it is a certainty. She wrinkled her nose, yawned of tiredness, licked dirt of her cheeks and made all sorts of ugly faces since there was no one there to see them. All of a sudden something broke with a tearing crash, perhaps a sad tree ultimately coming to its end or even more likely one of her thoughts having enough of that too-empty space up there and with clear comfort instead choosing its very own demise. For the wolf Sakhara, yes that was her strange name, to escape her loneliness and this appalling real life she crawled into her own mind, to make up a place too beautiful to ever be real. In her world the sun was an ever-lasting sprawling spectrum of colors from within and beyond the range of the rainbow. The trees were huge and steady beings of pure gold, growing from the glistering luxuriant that was the forest floor. And all and everyone were thriving of happiness, creating an atmosphere with air and wind that were alive; the very particles themselves dancing in euphoria. Welcoming all visitors and soothing their minds into a giggling, satisfied unity. As if the whole world were lain within a newborn´s crib and gently rocked into a chanted lullaby, making peace inevitable and all other troublesome truths of further worlds forgotten. Her heart were overly filled with joy and her steps a cheerful skipping over the flower-blossoming path adorned with riches so remarkable they could only have been brought from fairy tales. And the ground was as bouncy as a trampoline; having her jump meters and meters up into the air. She advanced even over the precious tree crowns, all covered in sprouting jewel-roses, and bathed in those beautifully-colored sunrays, before flying downwards like a morning-whisper, touching the soft ground and bouncing upwards yet again. All she touched; the ground, a tree-branch or perhaps a massive glittering root, it turned to living diamond. The hard stone as liquid as water and rotating in an impossible tiny tornado of diamond drops faster and faster before it ceased to exist; leaving porcelain like sculptures of dragons, centaurs and unicorns in its place. The minor mythological creatures poetically posed as if they were fighting a never-ending battle in their frozen stillness, and their exterior as flawless as a polished gateway to heaven. The birds, colorful as if born on a tropical island, sang an entrancing chorus in their unearthly voices. Of friends, family-members and of all of their own success. Because here in this magical land, it was impossible to ever fail. She sang along with the birds, her voice as trollbounding as theirs, and the fragile petals of roses and lilies grown from crystals came alive. Flew away like majestic butterflies into the open bosom of the sky. Forever I will stay here, she knew. With an inhalation of this world´s wonderfulness, and a rapid outbreath of all of what had been her old memories, she let herself land and forget; eyes like a sea filled with tears of overwhelming emotion. But she swore it would be the last time for sadness to be given shape in this realm. From now on the golden doors would always be heavily barricaded. And until the world´s broken puzzle fell, she behind her left pawprint by pawprint of time on the never changing trail. And never did she wander out of her dream. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ❤ Thank you for your visit and Welcome back! ❤ |
