Biography
Like a ray of sunlight that had lost its way and found itself in a dark cave, so Atlanta was born on a stormy night many summers ago. From the very beginning, she was a bright and cheerful one, so bright and happy in fact that many pack members have bestowed the nickname 'sunshine' upon her. Atalantas mother, Valmara, had high hopes for that little pup even from the very beginning, as she was one of the only daughters and reminders of the great wolf Aryon, and the even greater Queen Solas Bron. She wore Solas Brons distinctive golden eyes, Aryons charm and grace, and Valmaras sheer intelligence much like a banner, one that clearly stated what it was believed she would one day be:

A leader.

However...Valmaras carefully-laid plans quickly fell apart. If young Atlanta was anything, it turned out that she wouldn't be this. As the pup grew, her mother waited for any signs of what had made her sister, what had made her mother, what had made Aryon great leaders: courage, ruthlessness, ambition. But none of it appeared at all, only Chara seemed to be the one gifted with these things. Chara took the lion share of Aryons courageous attitude and looks, but still remained dignified and graceful. Both Valmara and Atalanta herself wanted her to be like this, but it would never be that way for her. She was such a delicate and gentle wolf, even Valmara eventually realized that a place of high leadership would never be her destiny, and, like Atalanta, came to peace with it.

Meanwhile, time marched on, and Atalantas own unique talents bloomed and flourished under the care of her friends and family. Instead of Chara, who already bore the bearings of a perfect future Queen, Atalanta seemed to be more like a perfect emissary--so charming, kind, and tactful as she was. She came to be adored and yet respected for her simple openness and peaceful attitude, and everyone--even Valmara at times, who discovered that Atalantas non-aggressive approach helped her even though it was opposite her own--came to her for advice or to simply enjoy their friendship with her. Even though she had none of the aggression that had made her royal line rulers, that didnt seem to matter anymore, and none would dare harm even a hair on her head. In fact, she seemed to be in perfect harmony with every single member of the pack--all but Irafel herself, and the reclusive wolf Thuras. Many a member of the male persuasion flocked to try and win her over, but Atalanta could never see any of them as more than great friends. She was kind to every one of them by nature, but none of them sparked love.


That was until she met him. He went by the name Nisu, and was a handsome, young priest-to-be, though unbeknownst to his lover. Atalanta happened to meet him the village close to the cathedral where she had often came to pray and help others in need and fell head-over-heels for him the moment their eyes met. In her heart, she felt she knew, really knew, that this was the One for her. She only saw him the village, never at the cathedral, and even then not often, but for her, it was enough. Princess Atalanta was a wolf in love. While she often wondered about Nisus sudden appearances and disappearances, she said nothing to him, choosing instead to trust the One she loved entirely. Atalanta believed in him completely and was overjoyed when she discovered that she was going to have pups. Immediately, she called Nisu, asking him to come back to court with her. The heartbroken brute soon confessed and told Atalanta that he had been hiding the fact that he was to be a priest, as priests were expected to have no family and he feared that Atalanta would reject him for it. He still loved her, he said, but wanted still to pursue the life of the church.

Atalanta was broken. She felt no malice in her heart against Nisu, of course, for there wasnt a mean bone in her body. But it didnt matter. He had broken that one, sun ray that her pack had known, and Atlanta rushed back to the two closest wolves that she had never known: her mother, Valmara, and her half-sister Chara, for comfort. Valmara, seeing her heartbroken daughter, remembered how she felt when the news came to her about Aryons death, and her own heart reached out to her. However, she didn't understand how to help, or what to do, having never been her strong point. Chara, having never experienced such a life crisis herself, also didn't understand by her own claims. Both were stumped, and both were desperate.

Atalanta is the sunshine of the royal court. So sweet, gentle, and kind, it has long been known that she would have made a perfect ambassador if her mother hadn’t been so protective of her. Her charm, her beauty, and her grace, they all come together to make a perfectly lovable princess that is fiercely loved and adored from afar and up close by the entire pack. She seems to be the unofficial wolf of advice, per say, and wolves of all ranks are always coming to talk to her about their troubles and problems. She does her best to please all and keep her family happy, and every last one of them love her for it. Her bright, cheery aura is said to be able to light up the entire room simply by her entering it, and her reputation makes this claim quite believable. She is beloved by the common folk due to her soft nature and generosity.

As Atalanta stayed in her den, miserable and horribly depressed to the point where even Irafel could not retrieve her, the Chara and Valmara set to work. Over the next few days, they labored tirelessly to create a gift for Atalanta. She seemed to be slipping away even as they worked, and it made them work even harder.

A few days more, and Chara and Valmara were done. They came to Atalanta and asked her to follow them into the woods for a stroll. She was quite clearly pregnant at this point with her soon-to-be-born offspring, and the others had to slow down to allow her to keep up as they led her deeper into the forest. Moments later, and they emerged at a beautiful waterfall. Atalanta was stunned by its beauty, but it turned out that her two friends werent done showing her around. They led her into a hidden retreat behind that waterfall, illuminated by a single hole in the ceiling that allowed a shaft of brilliant light inside. They had decorated it themselves, hanging sweet-smelling herbs from niches in the walls. On the floor, laid out in the corner like a special pellet of prized skins that Valmara had hunt herself, surrounded by moss and brightly colored eagle feathers. Atalanta was completely speechless. Finally, she murmured words of gratitude, and Valmara smiled.

'You looked so sad after you heard the news, and it made us sad as well. We all need you, Sunshine, so we did this just for you,' she told her daughter proudly, and Chara nodded.

Atalanta couldnt have been happier.
