-m to run. And then someone asking if he was alive and a paw prodding him. After that everything had gone dark. At first he felt a jolt of fear. How did he get here? Who was the wolf that had asked if he was alive? Before relaxing himself. Whoever that was, they must have been the one to bring him here. And if they had wanted him dead, he probably would not be still alive. He closed his eyes again, waiting to see if the wolf would return.

As the desert wolf was hoisted onto Meylin’s back, he made no sign of feeling any pain. He didn’t whine or flinch, just flopped into position, completely limp except for the labored rise and fall of his chest. The pale body of the wolf was surprisingly not very heavy as he was carried farther away from the towering gates he had sailed over not too long ago. His frame was smaller and more slender, resulting in an easier time when running on the sand.

As they reached the grasslands, the wolf still made no move of being conscious, not even when the she-wolf introduced herself and told him about where she lived did he stir. Not until he was set down did he really move, and then only slightly. It was so small and brief it was almost impossible not to miss. As he lay their, a forepaw twitched. But even though that was the only movement besides the slow, shallow breathing it wasn’t the only thing to take notice of.

Has he lay on the packed soil of the fox den, something that had not been visible before seemed to appear. On each shoulder feathers seemed to sprout. They weren’t wings, definitely not, but little tufts of white feathers. It was so random, it had to mean something, but what? They definitely were not there before.

As Meylin left the den to fetch water, the desert wolf’s paw twitched again, then his tail. His breathing grew a bit steadier, and one eye opened ever so slowly, taking in the bleary surroundings. He tried to sit up, but failed, still way too weak to move very much. He yelped as his side landed back on the hardened earth. Despite surviving the fall from such a hight and then the journey here, he was still in horrible condition. He vision was clearing, though it was bleary at the edges with pain.

Where was he? This wasn’t the desert. For a moment he forgot about resent events before they all came flooding back in. The chase, reaching the gates, his sister throwing him far over the gates and telling hi

If it wasn't for the sporadic rise and fall from his chest, she would have thought him dead. Maybe that was where he was headed anyway. That was quite the fall. With no response given, Meylin lifted a paw, a moment of hesitation holding back her action to give him a prod. When a groan escaped the wolf's frame, she flinched. Unease sent a shiver down her spine.

"I- I am sorry, I cannot heal you. I don't know how." Sh mumbled this placing her paw back upon the sand. She couldn't leave him here, whatever threw him over the wall, would it come to make sure he died? "I'm going to bring you back to my den. Apologies, this might hurt."

She dipped her head to dig her nose under his shoulders. Luckily he wasn't twice her size or she might not have been able to lift him at all. Meylin hoisted the wolf's limp body onto her back, huffing with the effort. "How did you fall?" Each step into the sandy dunes back towards the grasslands was not shaky with the extra weight. "Did you slip?" That was totally possible. Maybe something didn't throw him. "Somebody push you?"

She paused her words silently thanking the world for stiff land as the grasses began to surround them. "I'm sorry." How rude. "My name is Meylin. I live in this grassland." She kept her gaze forward not daring to look back in case some unknown enemy had followed. What she could not see wasn't there, right? Her ears perked at the sight of her home entrance. "This is my den." The entrance to the old fox den had been dug out to create a bigger space.

After slipping into the dimly lit room, Meylin careful placed down the injured wolf and stepped back. What now? He wasn't bleeding, all his injuries had to be internal. Did that make his chances for survival slim? "I wish I could help you more." She mumbled

Sorry it’s so short. There isn’t as much to write when your character can’t really do anything lol)

He was still too hurt to even open his eyes, so when he heard paw steps and a voice ask if he was alive, all he could manage was a low groan. He could barely even think, with pain shooting through his entire body. This only thoughts were, *Did they capture Rose? Did she escape?* and, *What is even happening? Why am I always in some sort of danger?* He didn’t even think to imagine if the figure that had just approached was good and meant no harm, or another wolf from the Nest.

As the throbbing pain grew more intense, he tried to howl in agony, but all that came out was a whimper. Now weaker than ever, the desert wolf felt his conscious beginning to slip. A calming numbness spread over him as the world around grew muffled, and then silent, as everything, his worries about his sister, the questions, the confusion, was swept away and unconscious took over at last.

The white and black and green fur, an uncommon fur color in this ashen desert, was ruffled by the occasional light breeze. No blood stained the fur, no twisted position. The only sign that this wolf was hurt was the slow, shallow breathing. It was also the only sign the canine was alive.

She slid to a halt, the walls looming over her. She had never been this close, within the shadows of the barrier. It was out of curiosity and terror that she had to stare for a moment. Shaking her head, Meylin slowly approached the limp figure. "Hello? Are, are you alive?"

The sun bore down on the lands. A harsh heat encapsulated the earth surface. This was normal weather for the area. It was always blistering, especially for fur as dark as hers. One gets used to it. Their hide toughens along side their minds. It is simply something you must get adapt to if you wish to survive, or try to thrive.

A solid black wolf travelled on the thin line that connected a long grassland to a vast desert. Her shape like a silhouette. If given just a glance she could be mistaken for a mirage. Alone, this wolf lived a decent life, a life that could still yet reach far into the future. She settled down alone on the grasslands, claiming an old fox den as her own. A creek, flourishing in the somewhat cooler seasons, close to dried out in the hotter, provided her hydration. This also brought her a chance at a meal every so often. All creatures need to drink to survive.

This fine day, Meylin patrolled her little land. Her gaze capturing what was hers, and as far as she could see into the wavering dead land. The sands seemed to shift under the sun. It wasn't halfway into her troubles that the mysterious walls came into her vision. Her hers tucked against her cranium as she slowed her pace. This place always tugged on her nerves, it was unnatural.

Just about to turn away from the barrier, Meylin took one last glance. This was when she saw the figure of a wolf fly over the wall. The creature flailed uselessly against the air before a plume of smoke hid it upon hitting the ground. The she wolf froze, unsure of what to make of the scene. Her heart rate leapt as panic rose. Empathetic as she was, Meylin turned in her place and raced towards the wolf, her paws struggling to land grip in the slippery sand.

I made this a while ago so it’s not the best but whatever)
Sand sprayed in the air and wind wiped it away. Dry desert air tugged at pale colored fur. Paws floundered in the sand as a wolf sped along amoungst the dunes. An early morning run had turned into a life or death situation. This wolf was running for his life, his pursuer only a few tail lengths away. He was being hunted, and even worse, would soon have no where left to run. As the strangely colored desert wolf neared the gate, a howl of rage and pain sounded behind him. He wanted desperately to look back, to see what had happened, but it would mean slowing down. He couldn't afford to take that risk. Instead, he sped up, reaching the gate that would lead him to safety. All he had to do now was get past it. Unfortunately for him, that was nearly impossible. No one got out of the Raven's Nest, alive. And no one got in without permission from the Lady Raven's Wing. That should make the place very safe, but most of the wolves in the city were either crimanals, thiefs, or assassins. He threw himself at the iron bars, willing them to let him pass. As he was about to give up, teeth met in his scruff and he was lifted into the air. He panicked for a moment, kicking and flailing about blindly, thinking the wolf tracking him had grabbed him. A muffled but familiar voice make him relax and go limp. "Stop flailing about like a pup that got it's tail bit!" It was Rose, his older sister. She had just saved him, again. "Sorry about that. I thought you were that wolf chasing me." more voices could now be heard. the guards were coming. His extra weight would make it impossible to escape. Suddenly Rose said something like "Run!" and hurled him high over the gates. shock and fear making him imobilized. He hit the ground hard, landing on his side with a painful jolt. The sand did a pitiful job of absorbing the shock. He had definitely broken something. The pale fu

As strange wolf led her away from the now only smoldering forest fire, the winged wolf felt somewhat frustrated at the grey and black she-wolf for what seemed like to her completely ignoring the question that had gotten her so excited. Keeping an eye on the horned wolf, she half listened to what she was saying, half thought up a plan to figure out who the “small weird wolf” was and if they were or help find the wolf she was looking for. She was so focused on figuring this out that she only caught the last five words that were spoken. I’ll bring someone to help. *Maybe I can ask this wolf that is sent to help me if that wolf is the one I described to this strange horned wolf. She glanced over to the spot Atrocious was standing a second ago and almost jumped when she didn’t see anyone. Then she realized that they had to leave to get help. *Of course she would have to leave to get help unless she howled, and she definitely did not howl. Mouse-brained wolf!* She growled at her own stupidity. As she waited she tenderly licked the burns on her paw, wincing as pain flared up again. She gave up trying to clean it and instead watched the forest for any signs of wolves approaching.
Atrocious walks the winged wolf a good distance away from the fire, it won't get any further, that is unless Court Jester doesn't decide to rain lightning down once more, oh how I wish she would keep her powers concealed like me.. sure she is a demi god but it's infuriating that she is a reckless powerful being. She should be hiding, especially with all the stuff that's going on, that and if she plans on overthrowing the ravens nest she'll need to send scouts not herself. What would happen if somehow she was captured? She can only use her powers when it's cloudy. Why am I worried? Gahh! Trapped in these thoughts of pain and guilt for arguing with her, I don't blame Jester if she hates me.
Atrocious let's the winged wolf down before stepping away and eyeing the sky, it is still cloudy... "Stay here I'll bring someone to help"
Atrocious trots back towards her home, the kingdom Jester took over, and probably ruined.. hell I still think Phoenix should be looking for her, he has the power of fire and he flies! Atrocious growls.

Gods do not represent true humanity. They are wielded in crisis, something that mortals turn to when they only /need/ something. Faith was a questionable thing in the realm below, causing feuds and controversies. Kaan could not comprehend such nonsense. He was a drifter of his pantheon, residing in solitude and maintaining a reputation of unremarkable choices. But if only they knew of his plans, those above him - those who put him at the bottom - could realize just what they were doing - destroying the mortals.

Kaan planned to cause a resurrection. Gods and other deities holding the true power over any government in the mortal realm, no longer needing law. Instead, they would be properly resourced and respected, and this corruption of the people would no longer be a threat. The prays power the Gods, but when you realize nobody is answering, why continue? Kaan demanded a reform, but of course he was pushed aside. That's when he decided to take matters into his own hands.

So there he stood, outside of scaling kingdom walls that inside nurtured the most populated city of the country. Inside also was everything he needed - a people that believed in him. Kaan was no longer a God... no, more like a prophet, but once the people could realize just who he was and what his newly found message was, they could grant him all the power in the world. Those from Above would no longer question is mentality, and instead, turn with him. If they decided not, then all hell would break loose.

Kaan was created to destroy. War and famine, disease and death. His dark eyes scanned the surroundings with mental note being taken. This was where he would rebuild himself. But who could house such a man? Kaan had killed many and caused many deaths in his day. Who knows what it would take to trust him.

She growled back at the other wolf, staring up at her with narrowed dark eyes. She wanted desperately to say "I'm fine with that. I'll tear you apart!" and attack, but she bit her tongue, all too aware that she would be the one teared apart in the state she was in. She pulled away from the wolf's offer for a moment before reluctantly accepting the help with a final glance at the fire still crackling behind her. Her eyes widened briefly at the mention of a 'small weird wolf'. She forced herself to show no emotion before asking slowly, "does this 'small weird wolf' have white and black fur with a strangely greenish stripe on his sides?" She finished with a cough, her throat not yet clear of smoke. She needed to know. If this was the wolf she was looking for... *I NEED to get to that wolf! * Her mind was racing with excitement and maybe a little bit of... hope? Neither of which she had experienced in quite some time, probably not since before the death of her mother. Not even when she was made the Royal Assassin, did she feel anything like she felt now. Back then she had mainly felt fearful, fearful that she would disappoint Lady Raven's Wing and be punished severely. And she HAD failed, but now she might succeed and not be punished! Despite massive efforts to stay calm and unreadable, she just couldn't seem to suppress a slight smile. Not a mischievous grin, but a real smile, even if only a small one.

The wolf she is asking about is my other character btw. I have a drawing of him in my characters if you haven't already seen it.)
