You stand on a bluff overlooking the wide expanse of forest below you. No one in your time has visited this land before. What will you find there? Anything is possible....

The wolf had a point - all lands were sacred. But these specific lands held secrets that only so many had access to, and those individuals were either hard to find or deceased. Karhu wanted to discover specific runes and temples, spoken of in prophecy. Whispers of immortality lingered in these temples, and Karhu made it his goal to achieve that. He hoped to develop other powers along the way of course, but that would be greedy, wouldn't it?

"There are ruins here, blessed by the Gods. Only a few have ever discovered them," Karhu explained. "I personally have been touched by the immortals. I hear them. They told me that you could have something to offer. You may play a larger part than you think, and we as mortals all have a part to play." Karhu stopped in his tracks in front of him.

"Even if you don't believe."

'The world has blessed us this way.'

What a sort of strange way to phrase a response to his question. There was a sort of amused hum to his tone. Something that Zyrias had picked up on. This other being--the smell was faintly canine in the undertones under the sharper foliage mixed with the tang of blood. The sound of the other being pacing was mingled with his next question.

It was a sort of barbed question.

Sacred lands.

Did he know?

"I suppose," Zyrias finally mused softly, "any land can become sacred. Pray, tell, what makes these ones more sacred than other lands?"

Karhu hummed softly to himself, almost amused with the canine's answer. "Yes, the world has blessed us this way," he agreed. Karhu didn't show himself as a threat, though being that this wolf was blind, there was no way for him to view the sight before him - an oversized, pale white male, bloodstained and a lingering smirk of mischief constantly plastered on his face.

Karhu thought for a moment. Did he preach? Stay silent? Inquire about such magnificent wings? He finally decided.

"You know these lands are sacred, yes?" He asked, beginning to pace and eventually circle the other male. He had no hostile intent in the moment, but his muscles remained tensed and he seemed like he would be trigger happy at any moment. Karhu was alert, and that was always alarming.

The scent of blood stained the chill. Like roses in the snow, blood in the snow, the red and metal cutting through the crisp faint chill scent. Like a sword through flesh. Zyrias didn't even speak for a good few moments until he finally heard the other being shuffled forward.

Paw sounds. The sounds of claws digging into the dirt below. Weight pressed down.

A huffing growl, frustration. The tone in their voice was equally as frustrated if not disgusted and less than impressed with the newcomer. Zyrias lifted his muzzle for a moment, nose twitching as he took in small idle notes of the sharp metallic scent of their other being.

Zyrias tilted his head to the side with his ears still pricked. "It is a nice day for a walk, is it not?" He finally prompted. "With the smell of rain in the air, the sun on your back..."

It was almost a round-about way of answering the question posed to him.

The scent became stronger, though something was off about it. It remained a mystery, and Karhu grew hungrier. Curiosity and bloodthirst consumed him, and that would stain him for the rest of his days... literally.

The days that the Gods chose him were damn near over, but for some reason, he still could hear them. Distant whispers in his ears that told him what to do. He was a prophet, though on the outside that is not what it could be assumed as. He seemed like maniac killer, picking and choosing life like he had the choice himself. In reality, he only had one purpose - to serve.

Karhu saw the silhouette of the scent he had been following. His eyes opened more as he noticed extra appendages - wings. The beast cocked his head. He towered over the figure from a distance, but as he got closer, the wings gave a certain benefit of size that Karhu did not possess. He huffed, almost as though he was frustrated, and growled.

"Why do you come here?" He inquired with what seemed to be hatred and distaste. Taking further note, he noticed the cloudiness in the other canine's eyes. He was blind. Blind to the beauty of the world. Karhu couldn't imagine not being able to see.

A scent indeed. Something that could have been described faintly as the chill of a frosty morning, the hint of a misty evening. The crisp of a fresh snowfall. However, the owner of the scent was not entirely... human or canine or even avian. A shifter. A winged wolf to a winged human.

A mixture of all of the above. Using only his ears, the being turned, listening to the sounds of the forest around him. His chin was turned down, eyes closed, letting the sounds come to him. The soft distant sound of rain pattering down, a roll of thunder in the distance--coming from the west.

Then the sound of paws hitting the ground. Zyrias shifted and landed on his own paws. Finally, his blank milky eyes slid open. Useless, of course. After all, the being was blind.

His feathers shifted, ears swiveling to keep track of the paws that pounded along the ground as they came closer.

"The Gods will tell me what to do with you," Karhu spoke gently, yet in an unsettling tone. His voice was hoarse and gruff, almost like he had never spoke a word in his life. The canine below him struggled, and before he could even decide, the body went limp. Karhu huffed, his white coat stained red.

"You gave me no time," he hissed under his breath. He looked around for a moment, inhaling the air. A storm was coming, and his striking gaze narrowed in on a new scent. Another victim, or perhaps a companion (more like a plaything).

"Go to them," he heard in his head. "They might be able to give you something."

And so, Karhu followed the unfamiliar smell, his large frame moving elegantly yet with an intimidating pace. What would the world have to offer him?

Vixen smiled then said so you do listen to me sometimes? And he bumped his shoulder against hers, then he stood tall and said well then I guess that makes me the alpha male!

She sighed softly then said to tell the truth I was gonna run up to her and pull her away from the wolf, but.. she stopped then looked at the floor and said I thought of what you might of done she was a little embarrassed she never did what another wolf would have done, especially a clown like Vixen
