Honestly- I love that idea. Fair warning, the relationship would probably barely be a couple sort of thing. Simon is on the aroace spectrum, after all. Though a romantic relationship is possible.

I will say, overall, Simon, Sol, and Mergen was an idea I was thinking of. Though Mergen is mono, I feel like it's more of a monoflexible. Simon and Mergen were a for sure, actually though. So... There's also that.

Sol idolizing Simon as a protector is definitely fine, and Simon is the type that if Sol sees it as romantic, Simon will probably end up seeing it as romantic as well. So it's definitely a possibility that it becomes a romantic relationship. Definitely complicates things though haha

Especially because of how Simon would react. As I mentioned, Simon does care about Sol, just not more than he cares about his select few (which due to reasons have been cut down to just him and his sister) but at that point, Sol would join the select few. So... Definitely complicates things haha

I will say, as long as you're good with it, Sol will probably end up seeing it as a romantic relationship after a while, though it's very important to note that Sol's idea of romance is very different than the stereotypical kind anyway. Partially because of what I already mentioned with their tendency to idolize, and also because of the fact they just feel differently than most (bro is just a little... errr... well, he's confusing to say the least, and the hallucinations do not help with that...), plus, like they've never actually been in a relationship other than with Kano, which can easily warp someone's understanding of what a relationship is supposed to be, so-

Sol would be in therapy for basically all the trauma that took place in the mental hospital (SA, physical, mental, and emotional abuse, etc.) and also probably his schizophrenia and trauma that happened before the mental hospital

Kano would also be in for the trauma of the mental hospital, which is similar to Sol's but lessened. Plus trauma from their physically and mentally abusive/neglectful parents before that

And, again, I haven't decided on the third yet, but I'll let you know when I figure it out!
