From my experience (in 2020 so I could be wrong) and what I've read on here recently, we all start off of one scene and write from there. Every now and then, people check in to add a post for their character and make sure they add after other people interact with their characters.
I'm a bit rusty lol so definitely go read other threads on here to see how it works for them and get some ideas on how to format it
