I get if it's something like, "Jenny is a studious person, her passion to teach straying from her love of learning. Instead of keeping her extended knowledge to herself, she makes it her life goal to pass on her knowledge, getting excitable about meeting others passionate about learning as well. She could go on for hours about mere facts, even if she rambles she usually finds her way back to the topic at hand." and yeah that might not be the best example. Point is, I find it's fine to link the liking to a part of their personality, but move on describing the actual personality part instead of staying on the preference part.
