The Origin: The Great Shattering Generations ago, the wolves of the valley were bound by rigid, ancient laws of bloodline and hierarchy. Those who were "different"—the too small, the too loud, or the scarred—were driven to the fringes of the frozen wastes. The Nightsheer Clan was born from a legendary alpha named Vane the Unbroken, who declared that a wolf's worth wasn't in their lineage, but in their ability to survive the "Sheer"—the razor-sharp winds of the northern peaks. They stopped being outcasts and started being a brotherhood. The Philosophy: "The Silence of the Sheer" The Clan thrives on a unique ideology. They believe that the loudest howl isn't the strongest; rather, the most dangerous predator is the one you never hear coming. The Veil: They live in the "Veil," a region of dense mist and jagged rock where sound bounces and echoes, making it impossible for enemies to track them by ear. Tactical Silence: Because they value stealth above all else, the Nightsheer wolves have developed a complex system of ear-twitches, tail-signals, and body-scent shifts to communicate during a hunt. The Legend of the "Silent Savior" Within the Clan’s oral history, there is a prophecy about the Ghost of the Peak. It is said that the most powerful guardian the Clan will ever know is a wolf who carries the "True Silence"—one who does not need a voice to command the wind or the hunt. "When the moon is thin and the frost is deep, the one who speaks with eyes and spirit shall lead the pack through the Needle’s Eye." Clan Traditions & Customs The Shadow-Marking: When a new recruit joins, they aren't given a speech. Instead, they must hunt a prey animal in total silence. If they succeed, the Alpha rubs charcoal or dark mud onto their shoulder, marking them as a member of the "Sheer." The Midnight Vigil: Once a month, the pack gathers in a circle. No one speaks or howls. They simply sit in the cold together, acknowledging their shared bond without a single sound. The Trial of the Frozen Breath: A recruit must stand perfectly still in the freezing dawn air. They must control their breathing so steadily that the steam from their muzzle doesn't alert a nearby "sentry" wolf. It teaches the recruit that even your breath can give you away if you aren't disciplined. Scent-Masking (The "Ghosting"): To keep their hidden camp a secret, the clan never enters their main denning area smelling like themselves. Before returning from a long journey, members must roll in specific local herbs, pine needles, or even river mud to mask their individual scents. To the outside world, a Nightsheer wolf smells like the forest itself—making them nearly impossible to track back to their home. The Stone of Grievances: Rogues often have big personalities and short tempers. To prevent internal fights from tearing the clan apart, they use the Stone. If two wolves have a disagreement, they must sit on opposite sides of a large, flat rock in total silence until the sun sets. They aren't allowed to growl or snap. Usually, by the time the sun goes down, the anger has cooled, or they’ve realized the argument wasn’t worth the energy. The Star-Path Ritual: Since they move often to avoid being caught by larger, territorial packs, the Nightsheer Clan are masters of navigation; Elders teach the younger wolves how to "read the sky" by tracing constellations with their muzzles in the dirt. This ensures that even if the pack is scattered during an ambush, every single wolf knows exactly how to find the "North Star Rendezvous." |

The Prime: This is what Nightsheer calls their Alpha(s) The Echo: This is the Beta rank. Shadow-Walker: The elite scouts. They specialize in moving through enemy territory without leaving a scent or a pawprint. They are the eyes and ears of the clan. Mist-Weaver: Wolves who understand the weather and terrain. they lead the pack through dense fog or storms to lose pursuers. Bone-Setter: The healers. Since they move often, they specialize in "battlefield medicine"—using moss, cobwebs, and clay to fix injuries on the go. Silencer: The heavy hitters used for ambushes. They don't bark or growl when they fight; they strike with lethal, quiet precision to end a threat before it can call for help. Prowl-Teacher: Mentors who train recruits in the "Silent Language" (the tail and ear signals used for communication).
Unspoken: The Ghost is a wolf who officially "does not exist" to the outside world. While the rest of the pack might be seen or tracked, the Ghost stays in the deepest shadows, acting as a final fail-safe. If the pack is captured or cornered, the Ghost is the one who remains hidden to sabotage the enemy or lead a rescue from the dark. Because you cannot be forced to "speak" or give away secrets through vocals, you are the ultimate keeper of the Clan’s location.
The "Unspoken" (The Recruits) New members are called the Unspoken until they pass their first winter or complete a successful "Ghosting" mission. They are expected to listen more than they bark, learning the rhythm of the clan before they are allowed to take on a specialized role.
Also!! On another important note: this is a wolf only RP, there are rankings like in the stories. Rankings don't matter about your chosen role, Rankings depend on: How aggressive your wolf is. How strong your wolf is. How small or big they are. How many scars do they have if any. How bright/dark furred they are. So on. Here's how this will work: I will list each thing that depends on their Ranking, you add it all up and find your Ranking's number.

Aiko isn't the best fighter due to his Omega Ranking, but he doesn't let that stop him from using his great hearing and speed. Due to his speed, Aiko is very lean despite his size being the smallest in the pack standing at 24 inches at shoulder. Despite his fleeing during a heated arguement or a battle, he always manages to get away thanks to his speed. His hearing is better then average with 87 kHz. His eyes are a blue swirl mix of #003C5F as the base and #0077BE specks, making his eyes stand out from his fur. Despite his beautiful gaze, he doesn't have the best sight, which is why he relies more on his hearing. He can still see colors, its not like he's colorblind. He can still see others and his surroundings, but at a 10 foot distance other wolves look like a bright/dark blur or often blend in with the colors of the forest. His fur may be bicolored and look rough but its actually impossibly soft. Speed over Strength, Hearing over Sight.

Mute: Aiko's name was just given nor chosen. It was a punishment due to his vocals. Before he was even 3 months old, his vocals were found out to not be working. After being 5 months old, that's when the abusing started, now he's a young adult and living on his own. He hates himself for his vocals. Adventurous: Explores the forest alone all day; everyday. Careless: ..Couldn't care less? Strongly Stubborn: He refuses help even when sick. Swings between different moods very quickly: One second he'll be sobbing, the next he'll be fine, seconds later he's pissy with you! Aggressive: growls at strangers, including those he's known for five days. You have to know him for a few weeks for him to finally stop attacking you on sight. Reckless: Loves to run and play making him a easy target for bears and other larger predators. Creative: loves drawing things in the dirt or snow with his claws. Ambusher: Instead of running nose-first into a fight being a defense or being aggressive claws unsheathed, he silently ambushes from behind.

Enjoys/Likes: Sun-bathing on rocks if its Fall or Winter, playing in Autumn leaves, running and playing in the Spring rain. He loves the Seasons (haha except summer).
Dislikes/Weaknesses: Mud v.v hates getting teased...depending on who it is ;). Not very strong like everyone else :'). Lastly, his sight.

Born without a voice, Aiko was viewed by his parents and the Pack Alphas as a bad omen. They didn't just ignore him; they tried to "fix" him through harsh training and physical discipline, believing that enough pain would force a sound out of him. Aiko had a few "friends" in his youth, but under the pressure of the Pack's hierarchy, they eventually turned on him to prove their own loyalty to the Celestial laws. This taught Aiko that words are often lies, and the loudest wolves are usually the least trustworthy. To cope with the pain of his past, Aiko adopted a "careless" attitude. He acts like nothing matters and nothing can hurt him. He wears a smirk rather than a snarl, finding amusement in how much he can annoy others without saying a word.While he loves his freedom, deep down, he misses the warmth of a pack. He just needs a group that values him for what he can do (stealth, observation, precision) rather than what he can't (howl). |
