A country within the continent of North America, which gifted it, its name. Named after Italian Explorer, Amerigo Vespucci, he posed the revolutionary idea at the time that the "West Indies", were in fact separate land masses from Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Thus the concept of the New World was born! Amerigo would then name these land masses, North and South America.

They were a small and one note nation until the first world War, Europe's economy was ruins while America, across the Atlantic Ocean was left unharmed.
They began to prosper, but only took major hold after World War Two, with the surge of Global Dominance through economic and military means.
Now we make memes and live comfy lives.
