╔═════ ∘◦ ✾ ◦∘ ══════╗
Áine
╚═════ ∘◦ ❈ ◦∘ ══════╝
Name Meaning:
Áine (Irish pronunciation: [ˈaːnʲə]) is an Irish goddess of summer, wealth and sovereignty. She is associated with midsummer and the sun, and is sometimes represented by a red mare.
Age:
Eleven
Gender:
Mare
Rank:
Herd Mare
Appearance:
This mare is quite lovely in terms of appearance. She stands at a generous height of 16hh, but her legs make her appear just a tad bit taller. She has power in her kick and movements due to this height. She also in a way has a balance of speed and power in her kick. She has a well formed face that is slender and feminine in appearance. Her coat is what's consider a painted one. She bears a gorgeous blood bay coat. Her coat is a gorgeous shade of blood-red, similar to that of a mahogany chestnut, but their is a difference. Blood Bays have black points however hers are covered by the white on her legs, but she has the points on her ears. When her coat is further inspected it can appear to be almost purple in coloration. All these proves that she is a true blood bay.

Her body is compact and stocky in appearance. She has a powerful and well balanced build. Her beauty is added to even more with the gorgeous white tovero markings. She has spots that range in size around her flank and shoulders with some extending to her neck. The dark pigment around her ears for what can be called a 'medicine hat'. Her hindquarters are rounded and her back is broad and flexible for smooth and quick movements. She also bears a well muscled neck and excellent bascule. Her body is well muscled and it bears some scarring but it is mainly hidden by the darkness of her coat and the white markings.

This mare bears a multi-colored mane and tail. Both have the same colors yet are different in appearance. Her mane is mainly a lovely shade of platinum blonde with some tinges of yellow along with black hair with a mix of softer brown undertones. Her tail is mainly obsidian and black, but if one looks closer you can see the small amount of platinum blonde in it. Her hooves are a shade of tan with a sight pinkness to them. They are sturdy and flexible and allow her a range of motion. This mare smells like a mixture of fresh rain and the fragrance of jasmine and honeysuckle.

Personality:
This mare is quite the character when it comes to her personality. She is more of an observant and laidback mare. She can be seen mostly in the background watching and analyzing others with a critical stare or a thoughtful expression on her face. She may seem lazy and calm to most, but if one knew her then they know they should be wary about her. Her presence demands respect even if she is just a normal mare. She still wants to be treated with respect and honor, and if she isn't then she'll surely give a stern scowl and pin her ears in displeasure. This mare is wickedly intelligent, and she has been gifted with smarts. She knows how to use that brain of hers to her advantage: whether it be for good or bad. She's smart about what she says and does along with having a memory like an elephant. A sharp mind and good memory is a dangerous combination but many sleep on it due to her mostly sweet and caring personality. However, just as this mare is sweet and kind she can be just as devious.

Áine is a motherly soul. She loves foals and yearlings and it makes her heart happy to see them play and be happy. If one were orphaned she'd be the one to take them under her wing and stay by them. She's a mature and has seen over a decade of life so she's pretty sure she has some wisdom she can lay down on them (that is if they want her advice.) However, one doesn't get her advice freely or just by asking. She may give it out on a whim or if she really thinks they need it. She can be a source of motivation and cheer someone up when they're down, but she may do it the wrong manner of speech. She's not one to coddle or sugar coat everything, because she feels the young need to the harsh truths and realities of the world. She's not a pessimist but more of a realist. When it comes to foals and the youth she's more patient, and will tolerate their misbehavior and antics, but if your a grown mare or stallion being petty then she'll give you a glare that just screams: "Grown up dumbass."

This mare can be considered moody at times. It seems nothing but agitation in her eyes are normal. Maybe it's due to the hormones of pregnancy or she just has a bad attitude at times. She doesn't like being in the presence of bratty or haughty mares as it disgusts her. Nor does she like stallions who think they're all that and all up in her face. She has a certain tolerance to stallions, but even now they're walking on thin ice. She only trusts a handful of stallion due to them ripping her trust in two in the past. This mare guards her heart with a ferocious nature. It's simple as this ; you break her heart then she'll find a way to break you. This mare is patient and cunning when she needs to be. She can go many years plotting and planning what she'll do to. She does and will hold grudges, but not over trivial matters. She has a certain look in her features when you know she's mad; it's a calm expression on her face but if you look into her eyes it's like the calm before an impending storm. She isn't afraid to nip you harshly in the arse if you disrespect her ; she may not hold rank but she's still a mare with more years of experience than these younger creatures. She's also not afraid to buck or send her hooves in your direction if you're being quite the pest. Their are many warning signs she'll give before she reaches this point: from the clear annoyance on her face, her tail swishing impatiently, pawing or stamping the ground, an overly loud snort , but you'll never see her ears pin.
This mare views family and friends as important. Having good friends is a one thing she treasures. She strives to be a good friend and be for them no matter what, and she would do everything in her power to make sure they're happy. When it comes to friends and family she may be a bit biased as she cares for them more deeply than others. The say blood is thicker than water, but if you're her true friend then you're basically family. She only puts up with the antics of those she are close to, but even then she'll call them out if they're being stupid or fake towards her. She doesn't like fake friends nor does she tolerate them. She will become more mischievous and bolder in her word choices if someone disrespect her around her friends. This mare can take the heat and criticism. She's used to it: her bold and forward nature is sure to ruffle some feathers. She doesn't care if you insult her. Fine, she'll just bite your head off with an insult that'll put you in your place, but she'll deliver it in a calm manner with a venomous tone. No, one does not want to poke this bear, because when she is awake she goes all out on your ass. Now, if you insult her family? Ah, you'd better run for the hills darling. This mare doesn't tolerate one insulting them, and she will physically put herself between you and them. Now if her yearling is being talked about, then they need to learn to have thick skin and she'll tell them to stick up for themselves, but if it's too much then she will come in. And you don't want this angry mama on your ass. However, if you're degrading her foal or the foal of someone close to her then this mare is coming to you with a mother's fury.

This mare is extremely protective of her foals especially her younger ones. She doesn't like any stallion breathing in their vicinity unless they're the sire. This mare also doesn't like any other mare trying to take the responsibility of lecturing or disciplining her children. She knows they may mean the best, but if they're not close to her then they can kindly fuck off. Only when she's dead and gone may another raise her children and even then she would have entrusted them to someone she views as worthy of raising them in her absence. Áine is a headstrong mare when it comes to the raising of her children. She doesn't give in to her children's pleas or demands. If they want to do something then they must ask in a mature and dignified manner and not beg. She does not beg others to do things and therefore her children must not beg or be beggars. She may give her children tough love, but it's only so they'll grow stronger and intelligent. She wants them to be better than her and avoid the mistakes she has made. Her love for her children is unconditional. Her children also know better than to disrespect her or undermine her authority over them even when they're grown she'll still give them a good kick to the ass if they get smart with her. No one is worthy of her children, and she'll critically look at any mare or stallion that come near her filly/colt in a flirtatious manner. They better know to win mother over before her child. Her children must refer to her as : Mother, Mama, or anything honorific that signifies she's their dam. Only when they're ten may they have the privilege of a first name basis. She teaches her foals how to use their brain, be wise, and how to never be ran over. However they know better than to disobey or misbehave around her. If she even sees/hears about her yearling getting into a fight or bullying someone then they will be in big trouble and it's not just a nip trouble. They will get a kick to the arse, a long lecture, and she will make them walk towards the back and isolate them from their friends. And she will expect them to give a formal apology as well to the parents and yearling they were so disrespectful to. When it comes to parenthood this mother does not play and she only wants the best for her children.

This mare has a dauntless nature. She's not fazed by mountain lions or wolves as she's seen worse. She would define run to protect her children from such creatures , and if a stallion was to help her then she isn't above it. She is just as fierce and scary as any stallion. Her stubbornness can be annoying at time, but it makes for a good friend and it's sort of admirable that she knows how to stick her ground and not back down no matter the cost. She can be a bit coarse and brash with her words, but she means well and always thinks before she speaks even if the wording is a bit, well, rude. She enjoys good humor and likes those who can make her laugh even if she isn't prone to joking around herself. However, on a rare occasion she may make a joke and smile. One thing about this mare is that she isn't a blind follower. You must earn her loyalty, love and respect. If you're in authority and she doesn't respect you will be able to tell from the condescending look in her eye or displeasure if you tell her to do something, but if she really doesn't like you then she'll voice her displeasure. While she doesn't want to be a leader at the moment she does dream of being the Lead Mare of a herd one day, and she's trying her best to gain knowledge and experience before she gains that role. However if their is a leadership vacuum then she'd take the role.

Name:
Ahriman
Meaning: Iranian god of darkness, night and evils.
Angra Mainyu: God of darkness, the eternal destroyer of good, personification and creator of evil, bringer of death and disease. He is also known as Ahriman, and his name means "fiendish spirit".
Age:
11
Gender:
Stallion
Herd:
None
Rank:
Bacholer
Appearance:
This male upon first glance is quite attractive , being quite the definition of tall, dark, and handsome. He bears an extremely darker version of the dark bay coat. His coat is so dark one might mistake him for black or mahogany bay. His coat is made up of hues of rich chocolate brown mixed in with shades of the lighter hickory under his chin. However, what stands out is how the dark coloration makes him appear black and is especially luminous under proper lighting. You can also see the distinctive black points around his legs and ears that identifies him as a bay. His face is slender in appearance with a well-defined jawline and round cheeks. He also bears a slight stockiness towards his face which gives him a masculine appearance---and upon his forehead can be described as a lopsided diamond. It is a bright alabaster coloration (albeit the skin underneath is pink.) and one side droops longer than the other. It’s the only identifying mark that can help you separate him and his brother in appearance. His ears are long and slender with dark chocolate coloration and the tips holding stygian coloration. His face also appears quite dark like his body does, but you can see the more chocolatey tones on his facial features and the lighter undertones near his muzzle as well. His mane is of the inkiest black coloration and is quite thick and lustrous in appearance. He detests when he gets leaves and other objects stuck in his mane. He has a thick and stocky neck that he uses to proudly lift his head or lift it to give him a more menacing appearance.

He has brown eyes in coloration. However, they are a mixture of cedar brown and honey brown. His rectangular iris is inky in coloration with it being prominent against his almost lighter eye coloration. It is a fine mix of the two colors, and they can grow equally warm and kind along with growing stormy. The lighter honey coloration mixes well with the darker cedar brown. His eyes are framed by lighter brown lashes which compliments his face well.

Now this stallion is quite brutish---when it comes to size and demeanor (at times). He stands at 18.0HH which is taller than his wild ancestors and he definitely towers over his twin. His body has a muscular and stocky build to it. He’s not so stocky that you can’t see his muscles, but he also has a slightly slender build. His legs are long and slender, though not gangly, or lanky. They have a slight thickness to them especially at his hindquarters. They each have dark brown, almost black hooves. His hooves bear his tall frame well and they help him move with a confident and elegant walk. If his rump were lighter you would see the line that run downs it and itis connected to his long and inky black tail. His tail has a slight curly and wavy texture to it, but it also has the same coarseness and thickness of his mane. He has well proportioned shoulders and a broad and well-developed chest. Now, if one were to take a closer inspection of his coat, they would see the scars from past fights. He has an assortment of marks that litter his quarters and a bit of on his chest. He wears these as badges of honor, but he doesn’t brag abouthis accomplishments or the things he’s done. In winter, his coat is longer and appears black, but you can still see those rich chocolate colors.

This male speaks with a deep and almost husky voice. He has deep vocals and when he is mad somehow, his voice comes out deeper and it is quite frightening.

Stock Images.mwilliams-stock on DA.
Personality:
This male definitely is charming individual. The confidence and silkiness just oozes through his baritone vocals. However, unlike his brother this male can keep his composure. He doesn’t buckle under the pressure and if his flirtee decides to crank up the heat, well this male can easily come up with a smooth rebuttal. He is quite the gentleman and is almost always polite in his mannerism and way of speech. He would never raise his voice to yell at a mare or a foal as it would be quite indecent to do such a thing. He has a regal air that surrounds him, from the way he talks to the way he moves. This male doesn’t just flirt with any mare. Only those whom he truly likes will get his full attention. He has a specific taste in mares. The pretty ones don’t interest him, but those with the truly spirited and kind soul do. The mare could be the plainest thing to look at but if she could make him laugh, comfort him when he’s down, and respect him and his brother then she’s worth his time. He doesn’t like toxic mares and he damn well won’t let one try and woo his brother. If he doesn’t like you near his brother, then he will let you know. If not from the subtle glares, then from his manner of speaking to you. Yes, this male is normally a polite creature but if he finds you to be an irritant or just plain doesn’t like you then he can be quite the asshole. His insults will be framed in a way that can go over the recipient’s head and they won’t realize they’ve been insulted until they think hard about it. However, if he just absolutely detests you then he will just be blunt and straight up with you. This male has a slight temper andwhen he’s riled up then it’s hard to calm him down. If you’re the one who has riled him up, then…expect a different side to be shown.

This male only gets riled up when he is defending someone or something he loves. He is the older twin and dare you do something to make his twin upset or angry. If you thought his brother’s fury was scary. No, no, no…. his is much worst. Just because he’s polite doesn’t mean he’s always this way. This male’s words can become sharp and drip with sarcasm and malice. Now he wouldn’t yell at a mare, but his icy tone and sharp glare will tell enough of his displeasure. A stallion is a different ballgame and if one dares step towards his brother threateningly or even looks at him wrong then this overprotective brother will react. He most definitely would step between a stallion, bear, wolf, or anything dangerous to protect his twin. He’s also extremely protective of foals that are his and he is quite gentle with them. Now he’s not one to play or frolic but if his children asks him to do it then you better believe he’s going to play with his children. His sons are his pride and joy, but he has a soft spot for his daughters, especially if they look like him. He is quite attentive to his children needs and would do anything to make them smile and just hear them laugh. Now if he sees his offspring sad or crying then he’s going to be angry. Dare it be his daughter. He will find the person who made them sad and it will not be a pretty sight. Now if it’s a foal then the mother will be getting an earful but if another mare or stallion is the reason his child is sad then this dad will make sure they’re scared shitless and it give them something to think about if they try such a thing again. Even when his children are adults, he’s still going to be an overprotective dad. Stallions better stand 30 feet away from his daughter and mares better do the same with his sons. If he feels your not going to give his child a healthy relationship, then you’re not having his blessing. You better win over this dad before you even think of dating his daughter or son. And he’s not going to make it easy.

This male is intelligent, and it can be seen through his way of speech, and the almost meditative look in his eyes when he’s thinking about something. He is always thing of ways to make sure his herd or those he is in charge of are safe. It seems he has a bit of foresight when it comes to some matters. He would never knowingly put anyone in danger (unless he didn’t like you, but even then, he’s not that petty.) He’s taken on the sterner and more serious role between him and his brother. He makes decisions based on his knowledge of a situation and not just a whim. He may act like a know-it-all at times, but he knows when to be humble and ask for help. This intelligence has also led to a cunning nature. This stallion knows what he wants, and he knows how to get it. Whether it be by honesty or deception. Rarely, does he use deception, but if the situation calls for it then he will use it. When it comes to strange stallions, he’ll speak in riddles and use a cold yet polite side of him. However, if the stallion turns aggressive, well this male will match his aggression with his words and not resort to a physical attack. He’s calculating this way, not one to pull the first punch even though he probably could win. No, he likes to see what he’s dealing with and if possible, strike fear into his opponents heart before even laying a hoof on him. Now, if he has no choice but to fight then this male will fight with everything he has and will not hold back.

This male has a dauntless nature. He’s cautious and shrewd in everything he does, and he has a fierce determination that lies deep within him. He won’t be intimidated by those bigger, stronger, or smarter than him. Why? Because he knows who he is, and he knows his faults and where he’s lacking. He knows that his overprotectiveness can become overbearing and that his intelligence can lead him to be a tad bit critical and nitpicky. He knows these things and embraces them. These he believes are his ‘perfect’ imperfections. And he’s one to take criticism even if he doesn’t like it. He listens to others even when he doesn’t seem to be listening. He doesn’t like to dominate conversations but if he has an opinion, he will make sure it’s voiced. Sometimes he can be insecure, but he won’t let others see this side of him. No, he doesn’t like his vulnerability to show. In those times he’s more snappish and brutish than normal, and his brother knows this. That’s his twin. Twins know everything about each other, and he tells Iqvar everything and would never lie or hide a secret from him. His brother is his friend and confidant and this male probably would go down a dark road if he ever lost him.

Name:
Aušrinė
Lithuanian Goddess of the Morning Star
Age:
Ten
Gender:
Mare
Herd:
The Great Herd
Rank:
Herd Mare
Appearance:
This mare has a lovely appearance. Her face is long and slender with a well-defined jawline. Around her muzzle, you can see the grey and pink around her nostril. However, on her face is a distinctive white blaze. It seems it was too lazy to travel all the way up. She has a coat color that can be described as a flea-bitten grey. It gives her a bit of a dusty look. Her mother almost named her Dusty but instead, it became a pet name for her. Along with 'Freckles' due to when she was a foal, the flea-bitten markings became prominent on her face first instead of her body. If you look closer you can see pure white slashes and markings but they blend in so well they're easy to miss. This was because she was a bay overo before she became her current coloration. She has a well-muscled neck that she uses to hold her head high with a regal air or if she chooses to give off a menacing appearance. Her ears are short and a bit triangular in appearance. They have a sparse amount of spots on them. She bears a platinum blonde mane, bug it can look almost white in certain lighting. It is long and coarse in appearance and feel. Her face holds former scars but you can't see most of them do to her coat. However, she has a distinct grey almost black patch face on her face. It was from a mountain lion attack when she was younger and reminds her if her brush with death.

Her eyes are of honey-coloration that's mixed with the slightest amount of chocolate undertones. Her eyes are indeed the window to her soul. They can grow light with excitement and joy, dark with anger or annoyance or hold a neutral tone. These eyes are framed by dark lashes.

Now, this mare is average when it comes to height. She stands at 15.4HH. She's a mix of stocky and slender when it comes to body type. This gives her a slight edge when it comes to agility and power. A well-placed kick from this mare can do some damage but not to the extent of a larger and a brutish horse can. This mare has a well defined and muscular chest. It is a bit broad but it holds a soft and feminine tone. Her legs are long but by no means gangly. The length over her legs give an appearance that she's taller than she already is. She has a white cornet in each leg and tan almost pinkish looking hooves. Her hooves are sturdy and gives her vital support and stability. Her legs help her move fluidly and with a grace in her step. Her tail is long and coarse in texture and appearance. It bears many colors: starting at the base it’s white and then you go down just a tad further to see a mix of grey and black, but as you go down further it lightens back up into a platinum blonde color.

This mare has a feminine version of a husky voice. It can grow lighter to give a more dainty ring to it. It can also drip with sarcasm and be polite as well. Her scent reminds one of jasmine and honey with just the slight bit of fresh rain.

Personality:
This mare has an elegant and graceful bearing. She holds her head high and walks with long strides. Her eyes always seem to be roaming, watching, and calculating. She was raised by a mare that was a Queen in her own right and who taught her to act like one. This mare walks with the best posture she can muster and likes to make sure her head is high. It may be viewed as haughty or arrogant to do such a thing but no. She wants to make sure she looks her best. Even when she's beaten and worn down she'll muster the strength to hold her head up high and give a smartass smile. She may not have a literal crown but she acts as if she wears one. There is purpose in her step and she strides as if she owns the world. Nothing can bring her down. Neither insults nor physical pain. She'll just bear through it with a smile on her face or a look of ”did you really just go there?” This mare is quite dominant in behavior and doesn't take do being told what to do well (albeit if you're the boss then she'll do it.) If and when she is ever in charge she expects you to do what she says in a timely and fashionable manner. If you don't do what she says or dare disobey her then this mare will be quite upset. She can be angry with you and you don't even know it. Only those attentive can catch on to the slight angry twitch of her ear, tail, or eye. Not to mention her voice might raise just a slight octave and her words will convey her displeasure. To see a fire in her eyes or her tail flicking annoyed it means: This mare is not happy.

This female can be quite the character when it comes to her play on words. She is quite humorous at times, liking to crack a quick joke or two. However, these times she's not in the mood for games or jokes. She's grown more serious and sarcastic. She doesn't have a temper and has quite a bit of patience. However, that being said if you do push her more than you should then this mare becomes quite angry. The mildest form of her anger will be shown in her behavior: from a small stamp of her hoof, swiveling of her ears and tail, or an overly loud snort. When she is angry then she will spit insults at you ( if you prompt her to do so.). Her words will be venomous yet delivered in the sweetest tone she can bear. If she is truly enraged then you had better run because this will entail her attempting to bite, nip, or kick you. Basically, anything to inflict pain. This is only reserved if you dare to physically attack her or someone she cares for ( friends, family, or children.)

This female is a stern individual. She knows how to give orders and receive them as well. This mare is not below being talked about if she does something wrong. However, she'd rather you do it to her face than behind her back. She doesn't like others that talk behind your back. If they can't say it to your face then it's nothing worth mentioning. It's just common decency to know what someone is complaining about so she can attempt to fix it (if possible). She is very protective of her children. She has seen too many foals die because of inattentive parents. This mare doesn't like any random or unfamiliar mare or stallion reprimanding her child (unless they are of higher rank. Then again even if it is a stallion she'll tell him in the politest way to ’fuck off’. Of course, the father of her children has the authority to discipline. Also, if she has a sister, she being the Aunt of the foal may do so as well, or if she considers a friend worthy of such privilege then she may too.) This mare raises her children well. She expects them to be well-mannered and not cause a lot of trouble. She knows children are energetic and want to have fun but she won't tolerate her child always getting into trouble. She gives a bit of hard love whether it be a swift kick to the rump or nip to the ear to get them to listen and obey. This dame loves her children and would sacrifice her life for them. The children must look out for their siblings and love each other. Yes, they may have disputes and arguments but they must realize they're family and family always stick together. This female holds a certain gentleness when dealing with her younger children but as they grow older they mustn't be coddled but instead taught the way of life. When it comes to dating and romance, no one is worthy of her son or daughter. You may try and win her favor if you wish, but you dare disrespect her or break her child’s heart then this mother will pull you straight to the depths of hell.

This mare holds a faintly aloof disposition. Yes, she may like to socialize, but that's on her time. If she doesn't want to talk then she'll give a polite glare but if you insist on blabbering on then she'll just walk off. She's not particularly interested in gossip but she does love good drama. Her aloofness is a bit faint as she'll be courteous towards you but she may appear uninterested in what you're saying. However, she does listen to you. It's one of her missions: know everyone's name and who they belong to. If you're gonna bother her then she might as well get to learn your name and those who you mingle with (even if its from a distance.)

This female has a rational outlook. She likes being reasoned with logic and words not fighting. However, if when it comes to debates you won't want to argue with this lass. Due to her observant nature, she can and remember things said or done that can be used against you. She listens to both sides of a story and attempts to make the right logical decision. She's not perfect so she doesn't always get it right. If you don't like her opinion or decision well that's on you because you asked her and she gave you her honest opinion. In some manners, she can be brutally honest. What's the point in hiding the grimness of a situation if lives are at stake? She knows it's best not to scare young ones but they should at least be told that something bad has happened, and not fed untruths or coverups. Such coddling could harm them and not prepare them for the real world. Whether it's a small decision or a large one she always thinks about it. She wants to be a sage mare and not one to foolishly run into situations she can't handle. So she finds better company in older and experienced mares. She doesn't need a man, she can fight her own battles(and if she loses so what. At least she went out trying.) She doesn't like being treated like some fragile flower or object so flowery words don't work on her. The stallion that obtains her heart must respect her and be able to deal with a mare like her. And he damn well better treat her right.

Taranaki

╚════◈◉◈════╝

Age:
Five and a Half
Gender:
Lion
Pride:
The Ridge Pride
Rank:
The King
Desired Rank:
Achieved
Appearance:
This male is quite handsome when it comes to appearance. He is a brute when it comes to size, he stands tall at four feet and five inches. He weighs in at 214 kilos (around 475lbs) so he is definitely nothing to scoff at when it comes to size. He bears a muscular frame with broad shoulders and large, powerful paws. When he walks there is an aura of power and regalness that surrounds him. His limbs help him propel himself with such grace and power. His body of a golden-brown complexion, with it, looking lighter in certain lighting. You can see scars and wounds on his body, so one can infer that he is well acquainted with fights. When this male fights he fights with all he has and even if he's bloodied, battered and bruised he'll still find a way to stand.

He has a large and luscious mane. The mane of a lion is their crowning glory. His mane is long and thick, with a mostly raven complexion. They say males with dark manes are attractive and are said to be catnip to the ladies. Why? His darker and fuller mane indicates that he's a healthy lion with plenty of testosterone, and serves as a warning to rivals; he won't go down without a fight. Even the browns and blondes on his hair are shades of dark brown, akin to that coffee brown. And the blonde strands are like that of wheat, so a wheaten blonde intertwined with the richness of the darker hues of brown. This male prides himself in his mane and does his best to make sure it is well-kept. He absolutely hates it when leaves and twigs get tangled up in his locks. He may be considered vain for wanting to look his best, but he just want his ladies to have something to feast their eyes upon. After all it would be rude for them to have to look at an ugly male all the time.

This male has striking olive hued optics. They always seem to be flickering with amusement or holding some mischief in them. His eyes are highly expressive and are windows into his soul. When he's angry his eyes are stormy and cold, and his glare is one that can send chills down a lions spine. You can tell that this male is angry from the chilling aura that will radiate off of him and from the occasional twitch of his tail. When he's happy or in a good mood, one can see the light and twinkle in his eyes or if they soften when deal in with cubs or ones he loves. A good mood is mostly always accompanied by a hearty laugh from this male.

Personality:
This male is quite the lion. He was born of a King and Queen, and as such he was taught how he should act. He was told by his father: Never lower yourself to someone that isn't worthy only true opponents gain your submission. This male has a sense of pride, but it's not overly inflated, but more of he knows who he is and that he isn't changing for anyone(unless he wants to. You can forget making him be another way.) He has the heart of a warrior and is protective of what belongs to him. He will fight with everything he has for his Pride, and he damn well won't give up on them so they better not give up on him. His love is something that is unconditional. He only will take a few ladies into his heart and once they're stuck their then he becomes possessive of his ladies. He has an undeniable amount of charisma and charm about him as his words just flow so smoothly and elegantly. However, he will have one he favors above the rest, and when it comes to her he's extremely jealous and won't tolerate any male making advances on her(or any of his ladies for that matter.) His favored lioness could set fires to the world, kill someone, be a tyrannical or cold-hearted person, but he'd still love her and be by her side. He’d do anything for her as she’d have him wrapped around her paws. If she asked him to kill someone for her. He would do it. She needs help hiding a body? He's her partner-in-crime.

This male has an aura of power that surrounds him. His mere presence demands respect, if not for his size then from his glare if he finds something displeasing or if someone is in trouble. If he gives an order or command then he expects it to be done: simple as that. If it is not done on time or to the best of one’s ability then he will be disappointed, but to flat out disobey him? Ah. No, that is like a slap to his face and insubordination irks his nerves. He is fair and just when it comes to dealing with insubordination. He would never harm a lioness physical, but he would reprimand her with the sternness and firmness a father would. However, if a male is the one screwing up then he views it as a challenge to his leadership and authority. So he'll be harsher in his words and may isolate and ground the male until he learns how to show some respect. He doesn't dare interfere when the Queen gives punishments, but if he is feeling generous then he may try to sway her to deal out a lighter punishment. Her word is important to him, and she is his equal so to disrespect her is to disrespect him.

This male is quite the mischievous lad. He loves messing around with his pridemates, but he can of course grow serious when needed. His pride is important to him, and he would gladly die for them. He wants what's best for them and he always has them in mind when he makes decisions. He makes it his goal to know the names of every member and to know them on a personal level. He wants to be involved in the pride life and so if he can he will assist on the hunt and he likes to wake up early to patrol the borders. He is a hardworking male who ensures the safety and happiness of those he loves and cares about. He is intelligent and quite enjoys being alone for a bit if he's thinking. He hates to be disturbed when he is thinking or planning something. He is quite cunning and deceptive as well, he knows how to achieve his goals whether by good means or bad ones as well. He isn't afraid to get a little blood on his paws, but he wouldn't risk the lives of others.
This lion is quote humorous and enjoys a good laugh. If you can make him laugh then you got a friend for life. Friendships and other relationships are also important to him. Friends are more like family, and it hurts him when he's betrayed. Now when it comes to other matters he can be hardened and stoic, but if a friend is found to have betrayed him? Then he'll go into a deep sadness. He will feel it's his fault or error on his part. However, it also reveals a side of him that's undesirable. He can be quite vindictive: if you betray him then you better be prepared to say goodnight. He will not rest until he gets an answer on why you did it, and if it isn't good then he well...will kill you. While he may have a loose set of morals at times: he doesn't like traitors. To be his friend one must be honest and truthful with him. He doesn't want someone to just tells him what he wants to hear. He wants the facts of something so he can do something about it. His greatest fear is to watch someone die and not be able to do something about it.

This male has a determination that cannot be measured. When he sets his mind to do something then he will accomplish it. He is an encouraging individual who will stand by your side and give you the best advice. He hears both sides: good and evil. He knows both sides with intricate detail. If swayed he can reveal a darkness admits his light. If pushed to the brink he may do things he wouldn't do now. He wouldn't hesitate to conquer a pride to the advancement of his own, but he'd rather make an agreement or talk things out. However, if there is no choice then he will do what it takes to survive. He may be bullheaded at time because when he makes a decision he stands firm by it. He would never break a promise, and he'd die before he harmed those he loves.
Taranaki can be sly and manipulate bastard when he wants to be. He knows just how to tug at those heartstrings. If it gets the job then, hey, it's an option. Now he'd never cross the line and kill a cub. Kidnap, yes. Murder, no. Even if he did ’kidnap’ someone he wouldn't be so cold-hearted and harm them. Ah, now when it comes to manipulation he doesn't like being manipulated (even though he does it at times. Again this a rare trait.) He doesn't like being used for personal gain as well as it is quite despicable. Taranaki also doesn't like those who abuse their power or try and kiss up to those in higher ranks. Ah, this male is a mess, but you gotta love him.

Name:
Moirai
The Fates, Greek Goddesses of Fate & Destiny
Age:
Seven
Gender:
Mare
Herd:
The Great Herd
She was in her father's harem along with her mother. Had plans on leaving sooner, but fate was cruel and she accompaniedher father so he won't be lonely. She acts more like a stallion than a mare. However she was recently forced into The Great Herd.
Rank:
Hm.
Appearance:
Her eyes are an extremely dark brown that can appear black in color. Her eyes are indeed the window to her soul. They can grow light with excitement and joy, dark with anger or annoyance or hold a neutral tone. These eyes are framed by dark lashes.

Now, this mare is not a petite thing. She stands at 16.4HH. She has a white cornet on two of her legs. Her hooves are sturdy and gives her vital support and stability. Her legs help her move fluidly and with a grace in her step. Her tail is long and coarse in texture and appearance. It is obsidian in color like her mane.
Her body bears a moderate amount of scars due to her time without a herd and roaming. Her dark skin however hides the scars but in the light they become semi-visible. She also bears a white diamond like shape on her forehead.

Personality:
First thing you notice with this mare is her fiery attitude. This mare seemed to inherit her father's 'resting bitch face'. This mare is highly opinionated and stubborn thing. This mare was happily traveling with her father and having grand adventures up until recently. She was forced, no, stolen from her father and now has become part of this herd. She absolutely hates the Lead Stallion and Lieutenant for forcing her here, but she doesn't hold any ill-will towards the Lead Mare. This mare only wants to escape and take her sister with her. Mo has a bit of an attitude when it comes to the stallions telling her what to do and she only allows her sister or Lead Mare to tell her how to behave and act. This mare doesn't act like your normal mare who raises foals and such as she has been roaming ever since she was quite young. She's seen things and has riveting tales of what's beyond the herd and she longs to go back.

This mare acts more like a stallion. She isn't one to back down from a challenge and has a fiery determination to prove that she's good as any stallion. Pah! She doesn't need them nor does she like them and if that pony or other stallion comes her way she's gonna send her hoof flying their way. She's faced wolves, mountain lions, rushing rapids and other things a stallion could only dream of saying they've done. And she has the scars to prove it! She has more balls than they do. Scared of other stallions are they? Pah, they should be scared of what she'll do to them if they get near her. She's a damned Queen who doesn't need saving. Mo doesn't give a damn if it's unnatural for a mare to be on her own and why the hell can't she be on her own if she can take care of herself? After all she is a grown mare and not some filly who's naive to the dangers of the world.

This mare even though she's hot-headed and loud mouthed she is quite perceptive and intelligent. If she rushes into a situation then it's probably because she's running on pure adrenaline otherwise in her mind she'll be analyzing you. Her eyes are windows into her soul and right now her soul is dark and angry and so she acts like it. She's usually a bit calmer but being somewhere she doesn't want to be has lead her to become riled up. However, it has also led her to ask herself an important question: Does she want foals? She loves foals and she can be seen in their company or just watching them from a distance. She surprising is quite gentle and soft with them. You also can find she can tell a story pretty well. Mo has that certain flair and dramatics when it comes to storytelling and man does she have some good stories. She's also all for empowering fillies and showing them that they can be independent and not rely on a stallion all the time. She isn't a fool as she knows in some areas the stallions do excel, but she doesn't let it get her down. She only finds ways to be better than them.

When this mare speaks she is quite mature and intelligent. She doesn't have time to deal with immature mares or stallion. Her prerogative is that only she is the master of herself and what happens to her life. She's not one to easily warm up to others and she mostly bears a stormy glare and her tail that is constantly swishing in warning. This mare isn't afraid to buck, bite , or kick anything that irk her nerves or irritates her. In reality, she just misses roaming the lands and finding out new things and just doing small things that makes her happy. She loves listening to the songbirds sing, splashing in a creek during summer, and annoying her father. If one is able to cut through that tough exterior they'll see she can become a completely different mare.

They'll see that she can become a rock in times of need. Her loyalty and is something immeasurable and must be earned and not taken. She would do anything for her friends whether it be crossing a blazing forest, running through a frozen wasteland or jumping down a ravine. Family and friends are important to her and once you become her friend then you'll have a friend for life. Well more like a partner-in-crime as she'll always have your back. She's fearless and she walks with purpose and power in her steps as she radiates confidence. She's confident in herself and who she is. She doesn't give a fuck about what others think of her, but if you cross her then it'll burn in her skull. Once you break trust with Moirai then you must basically move mountains to gain it back. She has an excellent memory and can recall things on a whim, and she always speaks the truth no matter how ugly or harsh it is (unless foals are present, then she may tone it down).

She has a fiery spirit that will not die down and nor shall it be tamed.

Name:
Kresnik
Slavic god associated with fire, the summer solstice, and storm
Age:
One Year, Six Months
Gender:
Colt
Herd:
The Great Herd
Rank:
Yearling
Appearance:
This colt is on the taller side as he stands at 15.4 HH and is nearing 16HH quite quickly. It's quite noticeable that he's going to become a tall stallion and when fully grown he'll stand at 17.1HH. His body is already quite muscular and well defined even with him being such a young stud. His legs and hindquarters move with fluid and powerful movements. If this horse could strut he would and he is quite nimble despite his size. In terms of looks he is quite a handsome stud. He bears what is called a classic dun coat. The classic dun is a gray-gold or tan color, characterized by a sandy yellow to a reddish-brown body color. This male bears a more reddish-brown body color and this is especially evident in winter. He also bears the signifiying mark of a dun horse : a black dorsal stripe along his back along his spine.

This male has a quite masculine appearance. With a powerful and muscular neck and a well toned body. It is no question that this male is a colt, but when winter comes its a different story. He has a slightly stocky face and build but as he loses weight in winter he gains a certain slenderness to his build. He will also bear a slender face that makes him appear even more like a mare. He has a black marking around his muzzle and a slight pink mark around his nostrils.

This male has long and powerfully build legs. They aren't gangly but they help him move with purpose in his steps. Along his legs have black stockings but two of his legs have white cornets. This male bears a flexible onyx colored tail that is coarse in appearance. It is quite long as it stops near his fetlocks. He has quite a lot of forelock and it can get in his face which is quite annoying in his opinion. He has a slight waviness to his forelock and it can appear a bit curly at times.

His hooves are well constructed and give him the best possible traction. He bears a smokey scent with just the slightest hint of fresh rain and mint.

Personality:
This male has calm and chill aura that surrounds him. He isn't one prone to be overly aggressive, but if prompted he can and will snap. Everyone has the choice to snap and when this colt does snap he does it in the calmest manner possible. He won't even raise his voice, but if he does then you're screwed. His glare is one to be feared as it has an unexpected amount of intensity to it. He can be a rock in one times of need as he will listen and care for his friend. He is one that will remain by his friends side even through their bullshit and crap. He's one to help pick them up when they're down (even when they don't want the help--and he expects them to do the same for him.) He's one to build up his friends and if anyone tries to tear them down then this colt won't appreciate it. He may be a bit flaky at times but when it comes to friends and family he knows that he'll defend them to the end.

This male is socially awkward at times. He's not one to notice if he's making others mad or overstaying his welcome. Sometimes if he does notice then he doesn't give a damn about it. This male can become quite annoying at times (to those who don't know him. Others know he's a sweetheart--mostly because he can become an absolute gremlin at times.) Now this male is a flirt and if he finds a filly pretty he'll spend his time talking to her. He's not one to go after many ladies but he wants to settle on one. Even then he'll probably stutter or make himself look like a complete idiot in front of her. He can become quite nervous and if he can't handle it then he'll just up and walk away. This may seem rude but it's his way of soaring himself from embarrassment. He also doesn't like being put on the spot and if he is then he'll have some sort of snide remark and be quite brash about it.

This colt can display arrogance at times. He knows he's handsome and sometimes he flaunts it but his confidence falters on some day. He's overly critical of himself at times and can find himself panicking slightly in the presence of other colts that are better than him. He wants to prove that he belongs and isn't a weakling so it has lead him to be competitive. He wants to be the best at sparring and racing so he can have friends. However this may not be enough so it can lead to him bragging about his skills in hopes of others liking him. Knowing he's a foal that wasn't supposed to be born has led him to be more conscious and aware of himself. Sometimes he doesn't like himself and it can lead to him having broody days where he's quite snappish even if he's a sweet colt.

This colt even though he can be a bit shy has a certain fire in his words. He knows how to insult someone properly and make his words hurt. He is one who will let himself be pushed to a breaking point. You insult him, fine have at him. You are rude to him, fine. You insult his sibling or friend? Uh- that's a big no-no. He will personally make sure you suffer if you do the ladder. They say that the quiet ones are the scariest and man when this colt is riled up then their will be hell to pay. This colt has a voice, even if at times he's soft-spoken it will be heard, but as he gains confidence it will become more bold and loud in tone. He wants to be heard and he'll make sure you listen because he has something to say. Even if it's a dumb opinion it's his and his alone and no one can take that from him.
This young male has a spirit that cannot be broken. He can always be seen with a sort of smile on his face no matter how tired or hurt he is. He's also looking for the bright side of things and can say some inspirational things (at times. However, this spirit is slowly starting to erode and he's becoming more distant and aloof in manner.) His father never approved of him and he was viewed as a disappointment. Maybe this is why he's so hellbent on probing his worth and belonging? He wants others to view him as worthy and not son failure. Not to mention the memories if his father aren't all that pleasant. He still loves his father and hopes to find him one day and show him he's not a disappointment.

How can one be apathetic and empathetic at the same time? Easily. This male-only holds empathy for those he considers close friends and family. If he cares about you then he will deal with your bullshit and other problems. He'll be the most loyal friend you can find, but if you're not in this circle then he could give a rats ass. He still will be cordial with you but don't expect him to go out of his way for you. Yes, he'll defend a foal in need (he's not heartless.) but if you're just some random horse he doesn't know well then he ain't risking his life. He's also not good at listening to others problems (except those of his friends.)

Personality:
This young thing can be described as an energetic spitfire with a mixture of snarkiness and docility to her. This filly is bold and brass, almost always speaking her mind. Her words can be sharp and dripping with sarcasm and, yet they can also be upbuilding and kind. It really just depends on the mood she's in that day or if you're getting on her nerves. Macha may be young, but that doesn't mean you should count her out. She doesn't care who you are if you mess with her, then she'll snap at you, but if you dare mess with her siblings or anyone considered family, then she'll raise hell. Yes; she may berate her siblings, calling them idiotic, annoying, or other things like that, but only she can do that. They are her idiots, and she loves them with her whole heart no matter how much she denies it. She displays a protective nature towards anyone related to her, whether full-blooded or half-blooded. This filly is also quite humorous and inquisitive, and she enjoys teasing and messing with others. One of her favorite things to do is playfully tug at her father's tail or mane, along with sometimes nipping his rump. This filly sometimes acts a bit like a colt because she doesn't mind racing with the other yearlings. She also makes it a mission of hers' to badger him with a lot of questions to her many curiosities. She also does it to make sure he speaks, because she knows of his mostly quiet nature. Macha adores her father and would do anything to make him happy or brighten his day.

This filly also has courage and guts. She isn't one to back down from a challenge. If you ask her to do something, then she'll put her all into it. Macha isn't one to cut corners or take the short and easy route. Sometimes her courage can override her common sense because she wouldn't hesitate to put herself between a foal and a predator. It may seem foolish, but to her, it's just who she is. She's also not one to display her pain or fear of a situation. However, if she's sure something is wrong or sounds bad, she will express her concern about the matter. While she can be brass, she also knows when to tone done her action and words. While she may act like she doesn't care, in reality, she does care. Macha is highly observant when it comes to social cues, and she knows when her company isn't wanted or when someone is sad or hiding something. If you make it clear to her that you detest her company, then she will do her best to pester you for the rest of the day. When it comes to her friends being sad, she may joke around and try to lighten the mood, but if that doesn't work then she will talk seriously to them. She is the friend they can confide in and make known their worries and tell their secrets to. Macha would never break her loyalty to a friend.

Now, Macha isn't one to immediately swoon over a handsome colt. She has standards when it comes to the colts she likes. He could be plain and boring to look at, but if he makes her laugh and treats her like the jewel that she is then he can begin to earn her love. She doesn't mind a good-looking stallion either, but they could be the prettiest thing in the world and treat her like trash. She doesn't need her father murdering anyone anytime soon. When she likes someone she falls hard. She can act naturally around them, but she may be a bit more flustered and stutter. She also can be quite the jealous little creature, she doesn't like any filly fawning over the colt or stallion that she likes. She might even be so obvious as to get annoyed at the other filly or even try to nip them. If she gets a stallion, she doesn't plan on sharing them with anyone, and if he does have children with other mares then she will not approve of it at all but will try her best to stay cordial. When it comes to romance, she wants to be the only one to own her stallion's heart. And she most definitely won't tolerate any mare flirting with him or him flirting with anyone else [once they agree they are a thing of course. After all, she will only get annoyed with it if they aren't a thing.] A jealous Macha isn't a pretty sight. They say hell hath no fury like a chestnut mare, well hell hath no fury like Macha.

Now, on the subject of angry Macha: you don't want to see that side of her. On most days, she's just an energetic and sassy filly. However, if she's in a bad mood then her snark dial is turned all the way up. It won't be obvious she's in a bad mood, at first, but if you know her well then you'll be able to tell. Signs that she's in a bad mood include more snarky remarks, she has her mare glare on lock, her isolating herself, or more noticeably; pinned ears. It takes a lot to put her in a bad mood, and if you're the one who put her in it then she'll make your life living hell for a whole week. When she is mad, Macha tries to isolate herself to calm down and clear her mind, but if someone interrupts this then they can expect a tongue-lashing from this filly but if you're lucky she'll just walk off. Now, if she's extremely pissed at you then she will bite you without hesitation, but these are extremely rare circumstances. The moral of the story; don't piss of Macha, it's always the sweet ones that are savage.

Macha is an adventurous soul and loves the feeling of the wind whipping in her mane. She also enjoys the sounds of nature and the feeling of water lapping against her body. With her innate curiosity, it leads her to wander off and explore [and it may get her in trouble with her father, but she doesn't mind.] If she wanders off, then she almost always comes back. She isn't keen on staying in one place and adores more of a nomadic existence. She wants to enjoy the thrills of life before becoming a mother and being tied down to a herd. She doesn't care that she's a mare, she just wants to have fun and take on the big wide landscape. The world is her canvas and she wants to paint it with her hoofprints.
