Hunter smiles a doggy smile. "Yup. I like this hooman." He says. - I simply sigh. "Oh how I love being able to understand dogs. They are SO nice." I say with an overdose of sarcasm. I direct my attention to Yenz. "I am still wet. The rain doesn't even matter anyway. I feel like a droopy piece of grass in a flood."

He grinned. "Must be a very droopy blade of grass." He pulled his hood down, rolling up his sleeves. Besides in winter, Kinzeu was always way too hot. But he loved his sweatshirts too much not to wear them.

I look around for somewhere that is more dry than here. I see a library, but I doubt they would let two sopping people in near the books. Or drenched dog. "Very droopy. Very very droopy." I confirm.

Somewhere far off, the loudest crash of thunder echoed. Yenz shoved his hands in his pockets and balled his fists. Please don't create a tornado. Please don't do it. Please- The wind furiously whipped his hair back, and he knew there was no stopping it. He llooked up. Sure enough, there was a torrent of clouds and wind spiraling through the air. "Oh no..." He whispered, curling his fingers inside his pocket in hopes of recalling the storm.

I blink. Hard. My hair is in my face. I can't see through it. But I know it's there. Mostly because Hunter says so. "Big pile of wind!!" He yelps. He ducks behind me as if I could provide an actual barrier. I take a step back. I'm not scared. I am totally not scared. It is the dog and my ankles as scared. Not me. Definitely not me. I am not.

"Kayla. I swear I didn't mean to." He gazed at the whirlwind, panic sparking in his chest. He closed his eyes, holding his fingertips to the sky. Slowly the wind reseaded, but not enough to make the tornado disappear. "Damn it."

Hunter turned. And he ran. Poor dude does not like wind. His red bandana came of and went straight for the tornado. I take a step back. I pull the hair out of my eyes to reveal fear. "I..." I don't know what to say.

He set his jaw, narrowing his eyes. The spiral stopped, and the clouds reseded. He stumbled back, barely able to keep his footing. Even using his power on accident had a huge effect. He snuffed out the tornado completely by shoving his hand in his pocket, unable to meet Kayla's eyes. A red bandana fluttered down from the sky.

I stare at Yenz. I should not be be near him. All the animals. What if he hurts them? I should cut him off now. Before that happens. I pick up the bandana. "I... I should get this back to Hunter." I say. I turn and speed walk away.

Yen nodded, dragging a shaky hand through his hair. - He sort of forgot how he got back home, but a few minutes later he lay curled up on the rug in his cabin living room. Wind rocked at the windows, but he knew that it was only concealed around his cabin. No other houses felt the cold breeze seep through the cracks. What happened? I never lose control over that stupid curse. He thought, pulling the draw stings of his hoodie tighter to cover hsi face.
