Prince Avery's shoulders fell. He seemed to be taking account what he was saying which was a good sign. Aspen gave another gentle tug on the prince's hand and then he stepped away backwards. Letting out a breath, Aspen guided him away and let go of his hand after he was decently far enough away. The prince grabbed his shirt but what was on his face was nothing but pain. Aspen's heart jumped to his knees. He hated seeing the prince like this. He followed the prince to the side of the house, not sure what to say or do. Perhaps there was nothing he could say to make the prince feel better. He watched him lean against the side of the house and bury his face into his arms. "Perhaps we should go back before the storm breaks. I can make you some tea and we can watch a movie?" Aspen suggested lightly.

Avery could barely hear Aspen over the roaring in his ears, and he straightened, taking a shaky step forwards. "No. I'm fine. I...I'll find something to do."
The young prince was exhausted, and the grief and pain were making his brain feel fuzzy, and he couldn't remember what was recent and what had happened long ago. "Em can make tea. She makes it just right," he insisted, swiping the heel of his hand over his eyes. He made it into the house, and saw Lorenz standing inside the door, and gave him a tired smile. "Lorenz. Have you seen Emily? I want her to make tea." Lorenz raised an eyebrow, looking utterly lost. Avery registered the confusion on the other man's face, and his tired man scrambled to account for it. "Is she gone? Is she visiting Robbie at the hospital?"

Aspen raised an eyebrow at the mention of Emily. It was almost as if he thought she was still with him. He didnt say anything but the statement mildly caused concern. He followed the prince to the house. He sww the guard waiting for them. He could imagine how confused the guard had been to discover that the prince had walked away. The prince wasnt supposed to go anywhere without Lorenz. When Prince Avery addressed his body gaurd, Aspen's heart dropped. He was asking if the man had seen Emily and asking about her making some tea. It must be the emotions playing in his head making him say all this. "Let's get you to bed and we will get some tea made," Aspen hid his concern and put on a nurturing tone of voice. He placed a hand on the prince's back to guide him inside. "Im sure he's just tired," He whispered to Lorenz as they passed the gaurd,"It's been a long day."

Avery shoved at his hands. "No, wait. Where's Em? Why won't you tell me?"
He managed to walk up the stairs, but was too tired to make it all the way to his room, and he yawned, sitting down heavily on the floor at the top of the stairs. His hair was mussed by the wind, and his perfect features were marred by the dark circles under his eyes. Avery leaned against the wall, and closed his eyes for a second, letting himself try to sort out his thoughts, but his mind was still too tired and quick moving.
"I'll wait for Emily in her room. You can tell her that," he said sleepily, stumbling into the soft pink room, and sitting down in a oversized chair, his features smoothing out at the familiarity of the room. He picked up one of the pictures from before, the one of just him and Emily, staring at the picture, his mind taking him back to the time the picture was taken.

Aspen's heart pained him. He couldn't dare tell Prince Avery that she was gone. He was already hurting enough. Instead he ignored the question, continuing to follow Avery to the stairs. The man ending up collapsing on the stairs and for a moment, he thought he was going to have to ask Lorenz to help him get him to his room. But he didnt and he was on the move again. Prince Avery didnt end up in his own room but rather Emily's. He watched the prince collapse in the oversized chair. "I'll be right back with tea. You stay here," He used a sterner voice and hoped to God the stubborn prince would listen," Get some rest. You'll feel better." He left the room.

Avery was so tired, and the picture slipped through his fingers, the glass cracking, and Avery slumped onto the side of the chair. He didn't want to sleep, but he could barely keep his eyes open. Avery slowly ran a shaky hand through his already messy hair, forcing himself to stay awake, but he was rightly an uphill battle, and a moment later, his eyelids dropped, and he dozed in the corner of his chair. He looked much more peaceful being asleep. His features look relaxed, and his long eyelashes curled delicately above his cheeks, giving him a more innocent and make him look younger. When the young prince was asleep, it was quite obvious that he was only 19, and been through a dreadful amount. Zara wandered in, and curled on his lap, warming his pale skin.

Aspen came back with a tea kettle and two mugs. He was sure his Americanized tea making skills wouldnt be nowhere close to Emily's but he knew it was better than nothing. When he came back, Avery was asleep with Robbie's cat curled up beside him. He gave a soft smile, his eyes studying the relaxed and peaceful facial expression that the prince had. It was also quite obvious the ordeal the prince had gone through and how he had manipulated his face to hide that. He sighed, setting the tea down on the desk before leaving. He returned with an extra blanket from his guest room and covered the prince up. He made sure to leave Zara uncovered as he did so. "Goodnight, everything will be okay," He promised the sleeping prince before leaving the room and heading back to his own.

Avery flinched awake a while later. He had no idea what time it was, but the storm had passed, and it seemed to be very early morning. All the things that had happened the day before came rushing back, and he momentarily closed his eyes again. Then, gently moving Zara off his lap, he stood up, seeing the broken picture on the floor next to him. He carefully cleaned up the glass, but not quite carefully enough, cutting a jagged gash down his hand. He winced, pulling his palm back, but barely examined the cut. He put the picture back on the table, and left Emily's room. He went to his room, and took a quick shower, letting the hot water soothe his hurting heart. He dressed neatly, and sat in his room for a split second, then went in search of Lorenz.
"I want to go see Robbie."

Aspen ended up falling asleep in his own room. The countless of nights of not sleeping catching up to him as well as the emotional distress from Prince Avery. He ended waking up well early in the morning. He groaned and got up, changing out of his clothes from earlier that day. He put on a pair of loose-fitting jeans and an undershirt tank top that was black. He didnt care too much about his appearance. He already knew uis appearance stood out among the royals. He just didnt want to be caught wearing the exact same clothes or get judged for it. Giving a sigh, he made his bed before making his way to the kitchen. He fixed himself a cup of black coffee. Black coffee normally wasnt his go-to but he was still feeling drained. It was only after he had a mug did he realize that Lorenz was also in the kitchen. He gave a friendly smile but held back, not sure what to say to the guard. "I want to go see Robbie." Aspen jumped at the sound of the prince's voice, cursing softly. He didn't realize that the prince would be awake quite yet and he hadn't heard him sneak into the kitchen. "Let me throw on a shirt real quick and I'll go with you," He offered but with the choice of words he used made it seem like it wasnt an offer but rather a statement.

Avery stared at him for a moment, his face completely blank and neutral. "That won't be necessary. I'm sure you have things you'd rather do." Wirh those words, Avery turned away, gesturing for Lorenz to follow. His bodyguard shrugged, content to follow his charge to the the hospital.
Avery hesitated in the foyer, scared of what he was going to see when he got to the hospital. However, the better part of him overcame this fear. Robbie wasn't just his brother, he was his best friend, and he wanted to see him badly.
He slowly walked to the car, settling himself into the backseat, Lorenz sliding into the passenger seat, and they were off.
