Rancher / Bounty Hunter
- Personality (Short Ver.):
Stubborn, ambitious, courageous, responsible, dependable, blunt, humorous, cruel
- Personality (Long Ver.):
Dolly may look like a sweet girl, but she definitely doesn’t have a sweet attitude. She’s irritable and blunt, and while she might be nice if she likes you, if you're a stranger or you piss her off in some way, she’d likely take to spitting in your face before she’d utter a nice word to you. She isn’t friendly and doesn’t take kindly to having unwanted company, pushing away people who try to reach out to her and keeping her distance from crowds. Besides that the woman is just plain stubborn and doesn’t take to people telling her what to do. She’s a person of her own ways and sticks to them closely, not normally branching off for anyone. If she does though, consider yourself lucky she’d even acknowledge what you ask of her.
She might me harsh and a bit brash, but she still has a bit of a softer side to her. She’s courageous and quite dependable, sticking to her promises and delivering on them the best she can. When she says she’ll get a job well done, she tends to mean it to the fullest. Danger is no problem to her either, with her dog, horse, and gun by her side she dives right into reckless situations without a second thought.
Dolly loves a good joke and though her humor can tend to focus on cruel things, she can lighten up a lot if the mood sets her right. She’s protective of her friends, family, and companions, throwing herself into harm's way to help those that are close to her.

- Appearance (Short Ver.):
Tall, athletic build, standing at 5’7, 136 lbs, with light blue eyes. She has pale, freckled skin, although she works out in the sun most of her days. She tends to wear many layers of clothes to protect her skin from the harshness of ranch work and the sun. Dolly has bright ginger hair that is tied back in a bun with two braids looping it. When pulled out of a bun, her hair is long and tightly curled. She can almost always be seen wearing a pink flower hair jewel, which keeps her curls pinned back. She has two big, noticeable scars, one on her shoulder and one on her forehead, both caused by a broken bottle. They are both always covered by either her clothes or her hair. Dolly has the soft appearance of any other city woman, but all the rough interior of a cowgirl.
- Appearance (Long Ver.):
Dolly has lived her whole life rough and tough, though you wouldn't think that from just looking at her. Her skin is pale, her face is clean, and her clothes are never ripped. For a woman who spends so much time on the trails she loves her frilly skirts, puffy blouses, and makeup.
Her curly red hair is always brushed, neat, and tidy. The woman carries hair pomade in her bag at all times and spends at least a few minutes almost every morning slicking her hair back into a bun, with two braids looping it. Every day she wears a particular pink flower pin in the back of her bun, nestled in tightly and practically stuck to her hair from all the pomade she uses, which is likely the cause of why she hasn’t lost it yet.
Her makeup is a similar story. She’s become quite quick at her routine, so hardly five minutes might be spent on her makeup, but she's always got powder, blush, eyeliner, and lipstick on, even if she knows she's going to get wet or filthy.
Her normal bounty hunting outfit is made up of a well-kept black blouse, light-weight skirt, and overcoat. Though it’s hard to keep clothes clean when you're on the trail, every morning after she wears it she makes sure to groom and stitch it up so it looks at least decent. Other than this outfit, she always carries around a pair of dark work pants for the dirtiest work she does and another pair of white pants that she puts on under most of her skirts in case her skirt gets in the way.
Her pale, freckled skin has been protected for most of her life, despite her time ranching. Her mother had always had her stack on layers of clothes to avoid burning and getting too beaten up, which is why she does not have many scars at all. One big scar she does have is on her left shoulder, a slash mark in the shape of a broken bottle, though it is not visible under her normal clothing. She has one other very noticeable scar on her forehead, also from a bottle, though it's always covered by her hair. It's clear she takes good care of herself and enjoys doing it too, regardless of the conditions she tends to find herself in.
Dolly is a tall woman for her time, standing at 5’7 with a lean, athletic build from her years of ranching, though most wouldn’t guess this from the graceful silhouette her dresses give her. The lady has deepset eyes that are a frosty light blue and freckles trailing the bridge of her nose and cheeks, as well as all over her shoulders and the rest of her body. She has a straight nose and heart shaped lips, with a slightly more prominent lower lip.

- Backstory:
Born and raised on a ranch alongside two siblings, a few miles from one of the biggest cities on their side of the country. She lived her whole childhood on this ranch, learning how to milk cows and wrangle steeds, regardless of the fact it was not typical for a woman to do the job she had during her time period. Her parents saw that she was determined, and taught her all they could about ranching, hunting, and keeping a home together.
Dolly was not raised very rich, but when she reached the age of 16 her parents started investing in getting her finer things, right before marrying her off to a city man at the age of 18. Dolly was not thrilled about this in the slightest and was heavily resentful towards her parents and the man she was made to marry. John Laine was never good to her and knew immediately that Dolly wasn’t the woman he was hoping for, but he tried keeping her around anyway. She enjoyed the riches he gave her, but not his company, and refused to do anything for him.
Eventually he brought in a mistress to “make up” for what Dolly wouldn’t do around the house, but he would have never guessed that Dolly and his mistress would get along a lot better than he had hoped for. Around this time Dolly’s younger brother would die in the Civil War far away from his family, and she grieved heavily, the pain weighing down on her. Hardly a few months after this, John would do something unspeakable to hurt Dolly.
Now she travels around, moving from spot to spot around the familiar state she was raised in, hunting bounties to afford food, supplies, and hotels.
