No, no! I misworded that! Ofa is the father's father, but the mother's grandfather. Technically I bred... a niece and nephew? I don't even know.

So, the sire's father is named Ofa, and he's the dam's grandfather. I didn't realize until after I bred them, so he would be a half great grandpa, half grandpa, right?

Pup <- Father <- Grandfather
Father = Sire of pup
Father <- Father of father = grandfather

Tori O'Connor | Hunter | Mentions: Kari and Sydney

"Yes he will be fine Sydney. Carson and I won't let him die that easily." She walked down the hallway and then headed up the flight of stairs. "Carson knows what to look for and if he is worried, he wouldn't waste any time taking Ikaris to the hospital."

Tori paused outside the door of her room for a few moments wondering if Carson would inform her but then shook the thought from her mind and opened the door. Her room was surprisingly clean for once with the dark grey and blue comforter laying across the larger bed. "Why don't you go sit on my bed and I will pull some outift ideas out."

She released Sydney's hand and moved over to her closet picking out a racerback pink tank top with a pair of workout leggings. "What do you think of this outfit? Or should I look for something more relaxed?" She was setting the first outfit down and reached for an oversized sweatshirt before holding it up to her torso. "Like this thing?"

She pulled out a couple of different outfits with the last one being a little white sundress that was very evident that she didn't wear often. The first outfits all had to do with excercising but this last one was the complete opposite.

She pulled her phone out of her pocket when she felt it vibrate and she raised an eyebrow before shaking her head at the messages.

You and I both know that it means it is more than just a gnarly bruise if it warrented daily checkins. Also, shouldn't you be sleeping?

She hit send on her phone before looking over at Sydney once more. "And if you choose the dress, should I still wear my glasses or go with a pair of contacts? Could make both of my eyes green today."

Sydney couldn't help sighing in relief at tori's reassurance, she nodded in agreement since she knew tori was right, Carson and tori wouldn't let Ikaris die so she didn't have to worry so much though there as no way to completely stop worrying unless Ikaris suddenly stopped getting into fights and even Sydney knew that would be very unlikely to happen. The alpha was injured in some way nearly every day and she didn't think there was any way to keep that from happening. The young girl quickly shook away her distracted thoughts before focusing on the task at hand, she carefully inspected each outfit tori showed her. Though you definitely couldn't tell by just looking at Sydney the young girl did have an eye for pretty things, why else would she be so close with the crows that also loved pretty things? Though the young girl never really put effort into her own appearance she did enjoy dressing up others when they would allow her. She's even contemplated asking Ikaris if she could do up his hair but she'd never had the confidence to actually ask such things, always sure the answer would be no and anxious Ikaris might get mad at her for asking. She'd once made the mistake of asking Kline if she could give him a makeover and though he'd tried to be nice about it, it was evident in his reaction that he'd hated what she'd done. After tearing it all off he'd spent the rest of the day working out until he passed out and she had to run and tell Carson. Since then she hasn't brought up the subject of a makeover to anyone, worried they'd have the same reaction and hurt themselves because of her. When tori pulled out the pretty dress Sydney was quick to excitedly choose that one smiling happily as she said "the dress! The dress! You'll look like a princess in the dress! Momma always used to say you looked like a fairy when you dressed up real pretty! Oh and you should wear glasses your eyes are so pretty, I wish I had pretty eyes like yours! Oh and I could even put makeup on you and do your hair and, and.... Um I-I mean Y-you should d-do the d-d-dress w-with g-glasses. Lots of people have green eyes but I've never seen anyone with pretty eyes like yours..." Sydney couldn't help getting over excited at the prospect of giving tori a makeover but when she realized how carried away she was getting she quickly tried to backtrack as her anxiety reared is ugly head. As usual by the end of her little rant she was staring down at her lap, playing with her fingers trying to calm herself down as she hoped tori wouldn't get mad at her. On some level she knew tori wouldn't be mad but she couldn't help the anxiety that burned through her as she remember how her brother had reacted to her makeover.

Rowan Draven | M | Werewolf | Scout | Mentions: Nat, Kline, Luna, Shadow(ind)
Rowan nodded to Nat. "Honestly, if he was looking for a fight, he could've brought backup. Could've reduced the injuries." he muttered. "He didn't have to go out alone, usually a bad idea." he said. He didn't like when packmates got injured because they went out alone. He smiled back at her when she flashed a smile his direction. He looked back at Kline, slightly confused at the man's cold demeanor towards the humans. I mean sure, Rowan disliked them, afterall, they were part of the reason why his family was gone, but he'd never heard him be so cold to anyone. He didn't question it though, figuring it was Kline's personal business, not for him to get involved in. He looked back ahead to see Luna coming this way, but......with only one shoe? He was about to question it when he heard Nat say something about a notch in a tree being probably some kids from the town. Just in case, he stepped closer to the tree, feeling the notch. "It was done deliberately, maybe with a knife or something similar." he said, and took a deep breath. Even in his human form, he'd worked on training his senses so they were as sharp as possible. He may not be as keen as a hunter, but it wasn't hard to pick up a fresh scent, especially of the werewolf variety. He gave a very soft growl like noise, the best he could in human form. "Male, around your age, werewolf, and it's relatively fresh." he reported quickly, backing away, the hairs on the back of his neck beginning to prickle. They certainly weren't alone in these woods.
Hope Caddel | F | Werewolf | Hunter | Mentions: Zane, Luna(briefly), Raven(briefly)
She chuckled. "Well, I'm pretty clumsy in the morning, usually for a couple hours after I woke up. I constantly walk into things or walk sort of slanted, and I'll trip over nothing." she said, before realizing all that she'd just said and looked down slightly. Why did I just say all of that? she wondered as she mentally facepalmed. She then looked back up in time to see him wink at her, and she had a hard time not turning red. Honestly, she got so embarrassed when anyone so much as winked at her, she'd just turn red immediately. Her family used to be able to just lightly tease her, and she'd turn bright red. She nodded in response to his next comment, although there was a slight pink tint. "Yeah it would be nice to wake up to that more often." she said with a chuckle. She looked over when Luna came in to wash her dish, but didn't say a word, same thing when Raven walked by again. She looked back at Zane. "Yeah, the meadow would be nice today I'm sure. I don't believe we'd be the only ones taking advantage of the nice weather, so there's bound to be some good prey today." she said with a grin. She loved her job, andt he adrenaline of the hunt. When she was in the zone, it was hard to get anything past her, or for her to shift her focus from her prey. She liked how easy it was to talk to Zane, where as normally she wouldn't be saying this many words in one sentence to someone.

Natasha DeForest | Werewolf | Female | Medic's Assistant | M: Rowan, Kline, Ikaris, Luna, Shadow (ind)

Nat wet her lips with her tongue nervously as she examined the notch one last time. Since she served as the medic’s assistant rather than a hunter or scout, her senses weren’t quite as keen while she was in her human form. She knew it took the hunters and scouts painstaking training to hone their human senses to the levels they experienced while in their wolf form, so she’d never felt a desire to do the same. Now, however, she wished she could smell the scent that Rowan had picked up. She spoke to both him and Kline as she backed away from the carved-up tree. “I think we should start to head back”, she murmured. “I hate to say it, but maybe this other shifter was the person Ikaris got into, um, some trouble with last night. He could have followed his scent.” She squared her shoulders, trying to shake off any residual anxiety. “Plus, Luna just came from that way and she looked like she might have gotten into something. It’s probably worthwhile to go check things out, but I’m sure it’s okay.”

Nat surveyed the path behind them as she chewed her thumbnail. “If we want to scope things out, we should probably take a different route home, but if you guys just want to head back and talk to Ikaris and Luna, that’s fine too”, she said to Rowan and Kline. She wanted to make sure that nothing had gone awry in their territory, but she also lacked the training that Rowan and Kline had. If they ran into the other shifter and he wasn’t so friendly, it would just be the two of them against him; he would be virtually useless. Still, she kept her mouth shut and waited for Rowan and Kline to decide which route to take.

Unlike Rowan and Natasha Kline felt excited when they came upon the notch in the tree. He could smell the scent of another werewolf despite not having a defined role in the pack, he'd been training his human body in every way he could since he was little so he could easily pick up scents normal werewolves couldn't. He took a deep breath of the scent that stuck to the tree, trying to imprint it in his mind so that he'd recognize it if he came across it again. His body language now was a stark contrast to what it had been when he'd spoken of humans. Unlike Rowan and Natasha that seemed visibly anxious, Kline was visibly excited. He'd always loved meeting new werewolves, he was probably the only person in the pack that would be friendly to outsiders. He thought it odd how nervous everyone else got, meanwhile he loved hearing about the lives of lone wolves and wanderers, they always had the best stories to tell. Back when his parents were alive he'd been scolded multiple times after coming home smelling of strangers but no matter what anyone said he just couldn't help wanting to make friends with them. His eyes shifted to the trees around, trying to pick up other marks as he happily said "Rowan maybe you should go back with Natasha, I can stay here and see if I can scout out where the tresspasser is. I'm always happy to make myself useful when possible and if the tresspasser is aggressive for some reason it'll be safer for Nat to have an escort. Unless you want to stay and scout...." There was obvious disappointment in Kline's voice as he brought up the option of Rowan being the one to stay behind and scout. Kline wasn't sure if Rowan would be kind to whoever the tresspasser was and he didn't want to miss his chance at whatever stories the stranger might have. He knew he himself could never be a loner but he'd always fantasized about being a lone wolf, not having to worry about what other people thought of him or if he was useful to them. It was like a dream for him but he couldn't leave Sydney and he didn't think he would survive long without a pack. So he liked to live vicariously through the lone wolves that sometimes came into their land.

Luna S. Bartley | Werewolf | Female | 19 | Hunter | Mentions: Kline, Nat, Rowan,
As Luna jogs up the path, she overhears Nat, Kline, and Rowan talking. Kline is staying by himself? To see if he can find a stranger? I may have to come back with my knife just in case. Luna thinks. She then bolts past them and runs toward the house as fast as she possibly can. It takes about 5 minutes to get to the cabin and once she does, she runs inside and walks up the stairs. She goes inside her room and grabs her pocket knife off her dresser. She puts it in her sweatshirt pocket which, surprisingly, she was still wearing. Luna drops her shoes and socks on her bed and walks to the stairs. She walked down the stairs and out the door again, not bothering to put shoes on again. She then walks on the trail hoping nobody sees or hears her. Walking, it would take her about fifteen minutes to get back to where Nat, Kline, and Rowan were at. Luna was fine with that. She crawled in the bushes along the trail, knowing her way around from hunts. If Nat and Rowan left Kline, Luna would hear them go by on the trail. Hopefully, Luna could keep herself contained if Kline found a loner. Her first reaction to a stranger is to attack but until she knows if Rowan and Nat are staying with Kline, Luna had to wait. She had to get her shoe out of the root anyway after she knows Rowan, Nat, and Kline were safe back at the house. She did trust them fighting but not as much as she trusted the hunters to fight, or Kari, seeing he got into many fights. Once all three were safe Luna needed to get her shoe unstuck. She still had about 10 minutes of crawling in the bushes until she got back to where the three were standing, looking at a cut tree.

Shadow | Loner | M | 24 | M: Nat, Rowan, Kline
Shadow silently walked through the woods, his senses keen and alert. Years of being alone had made him paranoid. Maybe he was just imagining the humans. Just as he was about to shrug it off, he came to his second to last marker. Town was right ahead just behind those. . .Shadow froze in his tracks, his black clothes keeping him hidden. He usually didn't wear it out in the day time nor when he was running but he pulled out the half mask anyway, putting it on to cover his sapphire blue eye. His emerald one would shine but not too much, and wouldn't be seen quite well as he got out of there.

Shadow was suddenly glad for the garlic on his hands and wiped them on his clothes. It was a so-so job of covering his scent and he choked back a gag but it would do for now. He crouched, watching the three look at the notch in the tree. That one had to be out in the open, unlike the few hidden ones down the path, in order to find his way back to town. He breathed in, his senses going into alert. Male, teenager, werewolf. Female, about his age, werewolf. Male, around his age, werewolf. He bit back a growl. Pack werewolves, great just what he needed.

It was the last thing he needed at the moment. He looked around, why now? He needed more time to scout out this forest for ways out. Once he got to the town, he could be safe. Shadow narrowed his eyes, the town couldn't be far ahead. Especially since his first notch was placed practically in front of town. Maybe he could sneak around them? Perhaps. For now though, he would stay hidden. Shadow looked around before climbing the tree he was beside, settling himself on the lower branches hidden from plain sight. He became as still as an alert deer, watching the werewolves from his viewpoint.

Rowan looked over at Nat, noticing her anxiety. "Well, we haven't gone too far from the cabin. I still have to scout the area to make sure it's safe for the hunting party." he said, his expression having turned serious. "Do you think you could make it back safely?" he asked. He raised an eyebrow at Kline and how excited he sounded. "No way am I letting you go alone. If he turns out to be hostile, you'll need backup." he said simply. "I'm a good fighter when I need to be, as I have to be prepared for the unexpected everyday when I go out to scout. No way I'm letting you find this guy alone." he said, and then caught a familiar scent on the breeze. Luna. "Luna, I know you're there. If I come across your shoe, I'll bring it to you, but can you escort Nat?" he asked, looking pointedly in the female's general direction. He then started to shift, wincing with a slight hiss at the pain he got from his bones growing and rearranging themselves, becoming longer and shorter. Soon, he had shifted into a large red wolf, different from your average gray wolf, and began to trot off in the direction he smelled the stranger's scent going. Until he reached a clearing and felt like rubbing his nose in the strongest smelling pine needles. Garlic! What a horrific scent, and he retched, the garlic starting to mess with his sense of smell, and he raced out of the clearing, and the garlic finally stopped its assault on his senses for the most part, and he was able to think clearly without the smell of garlic. He then smelled something rather strange, and realized he'd faintly smelled garlic back near the others. Shit. he thought, and silently began to trot back that way, and when he couldn't find anything, he shifted back, with rather loud popping noises as his bones popped back into place. The garlic scent was strongest and fresh near one particular tree, but he couldn't figure much out. Unless.... he thought, and looked up. There he was, a man clad in all black with a mask covering half of his face. Rowan gave a low warning noise in the back of his throat, wishing he hadn't left his switchblades at the cabin. He didn't yell out though, keeping his eyes fixed on the man.

Luna S. Bartley | Werewolf | Female | 19 | Hunter | Mentions: Rowan, Nat, and Kline
Crawling in the bushes was tiring. Luna stood up out of the bushes, noticing the three off in the distance. She walked the rest of the way looking everywhere to make sure that she wasn't attacked by surprise. Luna gripped the knife in her pocket, getting ready to pull it out. Walking up to the three, they were still looking at the mark in the tree. Smelling the air, Luna caught several scents, squirrel, rabbit, deer, smoke from the chimneys, grass, and a slight bit of garlic. Humans must like garlic for it to be this strong. Yuck. I hope Rowan caught the loner's scent. He is a great tracker. Well, scouting is his duty. I'm glad that we can still catch most of the scents like when we're wolves. I just wish it wasn't so painful to transform. Luna thought, getting off-topic. Luna hated strangers in their forest though. Maybe he was a loner. Luna hoped that was the case. Just thinking of another pack of werewolves in their forest made Luna angry. She tried not to show the anger but it was hard for her not to show it. She looked around and hoped there wouldn't be a surprise attack. If there was though, Luna was ready. She heard Rowan ask her to escort Nat but Luna didn't want to. She wanted to help. She also didn't like others telling her what to do other than Kari and Raven.
Luna watched as Rowan transformed into a red wolf. He searched a clearing and found nothing. Luna wondered if he had found a scent or was tracking it. Then, Rowan went near a specific tree and looked up. He gave a low warning noise and Luna knew that the man was in the tree. She wondered if the man was a loner or hostile. Luna tried her best to low growl but it never worked. She was ready for the man to attack Rowan and if he needed help, she could help him.

Shadow | Loner | 24 | M | M: Rowan, Nat(ind), Kline(ind)
Shadow watched as one of the males shifted, hearing the hiss before trotting into the general direction. Shadow would wait until the other two was gone before he would move. A couple moments later however, he heard popping sounds close by. Scrap, this was not going to go well. To think this was the one day he actually didn't want to get in a fight. Lovely. The male stopped at his tree before looking up at him. A low warning rose from him but Shadow ignored it, assessing the male quickly.

He stayed still for a moment before suddenly dropping from the tree to land right in front of the male. He kept dropping, to the ground, spinning a leg to trip the male. He growled lowly as his bones popped and he shifted. Faster this way, he would go to town shortly. Once he lost these...pack members. After barely a couple moments, he leaped over the male going into a full bolt towards the town. He came out into the open momentarily, his black pelt shining in the light before he disappeared into the woods opposite of the trail.

True to his thoughts, there was the town. Keeping to the edges, he ran around the town before making it to a river. The current was strong today. No matter, even though he didn't like swimming that didn't mean he wasn't good at it. He just hated to get his fur wet. Plunging in, he let the current take him downstream, washing away his scent and the gagging scent of garlic thank goodness. Pulling himself out of the river a half mile downstream, he shook off before bolting into the woods. He would circle around later and go back to town, but he needed to get away from that pack for the time being.
