Eagle turned sharply at the sound of a dog. "Oh." He said, recognizing a dog he had seen occasionally after his meetings with the dog pack leader. Eagle knew that the dog was a scout, or a hunter? "You may know me, I'm the alpha of the Detached Pack, Eagle." He spoke quickly, to make the dog sure that he wasn't part of Tempest's Pack. "We try to stay out of the war, but once in a while you guys come and fight near our territory. I meet with your leader every few days." Eagle stood taller. He inspected the dog. He certainly was very confident and strong, as Eagle had just saw it kill the wolf who had tried to kill Lily. Definetly a hunter, he thought. Wagging his tail, friendly, Eagle asked, "What's your name?" He always tried to be as friendly and delightful as possible. Eagle looked back at the Healer Den. He was certainly glad that Lily was safe.

Night Hawk cocked his head unsure of this wolf. He looked friendly enough, but Night would stay on his guard. Just then, Shadow Flame walked in with the same wolf. Letting out a bark, Lily wandered over to her to inspect her wounds. Shadow Flame made her way over before dipping her head slightly to Eagle. "Welcome Eagle, I hope Night Hawk hasn't intimidated you too much." She said with a chuckle looking over at Night Hawk. She was about to say something and Night cut her off, "It's not my blood." She rolled her eyes before turning to Eagle again. "What brings you over here?"
Lily listened to Eagle and Night Hawk for a little bit before hearing alpha come back. Smelling wolf blood, she headed over to see to her wounds. I hope Night Hawk stops being . . . .Night Hawk. She blinked before chuckling to herself. Nope. She started putting marigold onto the wound and put coltsfoot in front of the wolf. "Eat that, it will help you breathe better." She said around the marigold in her mouth.

Sandstorm leaped aside as another paw came flying toward him. Tempest had slipped from the bear's back and was clawing him. Sandstorm leaped and tryed to grab the bear's neck but missed and landed under him. Leaping up and clawing at the bear's soft belly he was hit by a paw slaming down on him. He earned several scratches before running out and trying to grab onto the bear's back. Sandstorm jumped and made it onto the back of the bear before running up to his head and trying to claw at his eyes, Sandstorm slipped and fell off while ripping his back. Running away to lick his cuts and scratches he bit the bear's tail then went up to the stream. Running into the water and cleaning off he washed off all the blood and dust. Better go hep Tempest again. He was about to go into the battle again but something destracted him, turning around he saw a dog disappearing into the forest. Running after it he forgot all about the bear and Tempest.

Twilight Twilight sat up in her healers den, shaking her head. She had a headache and was groggy. A few nights before she had accidentally eaten a semi-poisonous berry when a pup had been playing with it and snuck it in. Of course, it was the pups fault. He had just been playing around with a berry and decided to let her heat it. He didn't mean any harm, and Twilight had forgiven him. It wasn't ripe yet and didn't do much damage, but of course it had drained her of energy that night and given her a headache in the morning. Because of her exhaustion, she had slept late, and that was why she was waking up at noon. Walking out of her healers den where she lived, along with paitents who required rest, she glanced around. The small camp was empty, and it took her a moment to figure out why. Eagle, the leader, was probably out talking with the wolves again. He was trying to change their thinking of the dogs. She knew they were very hostile towards the dogs, and vice versa. Trotting out of the camp, towards the wolf camp, she hoped there wouldn't have been another battle. It was getting tiring having to treat wolves and dogs after every attack. Either way, she was perpared to minister. A pouch hung by her side, filled with herbs and a couple potions. A sharp, straight fang hung on a necklace she wore that she used for cutting away fur, or other medical uses. Hearing roaring, barks, and howls, Twilights pace turned to a run. Something was very wrong at the wolf camp. The air smelled of blood and dead carcasses. Wrinkling her nose against the foul odor, she closed her eyes momentarily. As a healer, her senses were trained to know if someone was hurt, and how. If they had a broken leg, were sick, or in mortal danger. Pressing onwards hurriedly, she realized a young grizzly was in the camp. Breaking into a full out sprint, she raced ahead. Arriving in the camp, a horrifying sight met her eyes. Wolves were attacking a grizzly that lived nearby. Twilight knew instantly it was not coincident. The dogs had brought the bear. It was a good plan. It would wreak havoc on the wolves home and could hurt and kill them. Shaking her head, she ran into the camp. Running by the bear, she dodged it, but clawed at its tail for a moment, then leapt away. Her eyes searching, she ran over to the healers den and looked inside. An injured male wolf lay in the back, eating a rabbit. His haunch was the main injury, with light scratches criss-crossing his body and much deeper ones on his stomach and side. Slipping silently inside, she examined him carefully. Dallas Dallas winced as she poured a red liquid over his wound. It stung, but not too much. As she was ministering to him, he noticed Delta leave. Glad the beta was recovered enough to walk and run on her own, he did not mention it to Ash. She was stressed and frantic enough already. Then she gave him another rabbit and more water. His throat was parched and he lapped up the water gratefully. Once his thirst was sated, he lay down staring out of the den, listening to the sounds of battle. It pained him that he must stay in the healers den, but he endured it. He knew it wouldn't be a good idea to move around too much, and possibly get hurt again. Besides, he didn't really want to leave . . . It was just a small feeling, but he enjoyed having so much time with Ash, watching her work. Just then, Ash poked her head into the den, making Dallas jump. Some basil and a dandelion were in her mouth. She dropped the herbs and flower as her eyes flew straight to Deltas emtpy bed. Whirling around, she looked around, then turned back to him. Picking up the yellow flower, she tossed it to him. "Here!" She said, then left. Dallas caught it in his mouth and placed it gently over his paws. It still had her scent on it. He had realized recently that her scent was sweeter than most wolves scents. With the smell of herbs and flowers mixed in. Dallas took a breath, then glanced around. Being careful not to move the dandelion, he reached over and pulled the rabbit over to him. Then he sliced through the skin and peeled it away, exposing the meat. Hungry, he promptly bit down into it, savorying the taste it had. Chewing, he lifted his head and flicked his ears towards the entrance, praying Ash would be alright and come back. Swallowing the mouthful, he moved his head down for another bite of meat. Then the shadow of a wolf fell across the floor, and his head whipped up. The face he remembered, vaguely. Still, he kept on the offensive. Growling, he struggled into a sitting position and stared at the she-wolf that slipped into the den quietly and stepped towards him.

Ash couldn't find Delta, she had looker all around camp and all she found was a grizzly. Ash wasn't a warrior but she joined Tempest and Sandstorm fighting, clawing at the grizzly she got swiped at but doged it and kept fighting. Jumping out of clawing range she remembered Dallas at the healing den. Time to put more caraway on that scratch. She ran back to the den to find a strange wolf looking at Dallas "What are you doing here!? Get out!" Not knowing Ash was at the door the wolf jumped and turned around. Circling the wolf she found that it was a healer too. "Oh, sorry. I didn't know you were helping him," Ash looked at the pouch of plants and potions, That would be helpful. Ash watched as the strange wolf put more plants and potions on Dallas's shoulder. Ash went out and came back in again a minute later with a marigold, giving it to Dallas she sat down and watched Twilight.

Eagle watched 2 other wolves came in. He smelled blood and saw wounds on one and watched as Lily ran over with a bark. "Welcome Eagle, I hope Night Hawk hasn't intimidated you too much." said one wolf. Eagle could tell she was a female. She chuckled and was about to say something when Night Hawk said, "It's not my blood." Eagle grinned slightly. Then, the female turned around and asked, "What brings you over here?" Eagle smiled grimly and shifted his feet. "Over there, by the hills? There is intense fighting. I've tried to stop them, as fighting doesn't do anything good and results in inuries and death. But they won't listen." he paused. "I just thought I'd come by to see how you guys are coming along." Eagle looked down slightly. He was not used to speaking this much to others he didn't even know.

Delta watched as the dogs and wolf talked she couldn't hear them but one of the dogs came over to her. Delta started growling but stopped when she realized it was a healer. Delta layed down as the healer put marigold on the scratches and gave her some coltsfoot. "Eat that, it will help you breathe better," She said went back to the scratches. She is right, even if she is a dog. Delta took the plant and ate it, Lily was right, it did help her breathe. Delta stopped panting and watched as the healer went over all the cuts that Shadow Flame made. Something caught her attention and she listened to the conversation happening. "Over there, by the hills? There is intense fighting. I've tried to stop them, as fighting doesn't do anything good and results in inuries and death. But they won't listen." The wolf said. "If you want to stop us fighting maybe the dogs could help us with the grizzly, stop trying to take us over, and let me go!" Delta yelled at him and tryed to stand up but she couldn't because of her broken leg. "Or you could just help us take them over." Edited at February 16, 2021 08:14 AM by Frank's Wolf Pack

Shadow Flame dipped her head, "My name is Shadow Flame. You do not know me very well but my mate has been meeting with you. I am Alpha Female of the Dog Pack. And worry not about us, Night Hawk can explain what is happening." She turned walking over to the injured wolf. "You have no idea why we need your lands and your alpha refuses to give it up. And that grizzly is a symbol of our power. Respect it." Letting out a baying bark, she summoned a couple fighters before running into the woods. She left Night Hawk with a couple guards and Lily to protect the camp.
Night Hawk bowed his head to Shadow Flame before sitting down in front of Eagle. Yawning, he explained calmly of what he had just did. "Two grizzlies live on either side of the wolf camp. I riled up the experienced one with my group and led it to the wolf camp. While they are dealing with that grizzly, dogs attack at various angles including from the top of the ridge giving more impact to the attack." He watched Eagle with narrowed eyes for his reaction before continuing, "You say you want to stop the fighting. You want peace. Have you ever thought of what is needed to stop this war?"
Lily listened to Shadow Flame leaving the camp and Night Hawk started explaining. Sighing, she got up going back into her den to grab some juniper berries. Rolling them underneath the wolf's nose, she said, "Eat those, they will help you gain strength again." She brought out a rolled up leaf before unrolling it, showing a lot of herbs. She got two stright sticks and used some bindweed to bind them together. Laying it on the wolf's leg, she wrapped it around so it could heal properly. Laying out a leaf, she started to crush some broom with some comfrey root and marigold. Spreading it onto the wolf's leg, she got up before laying a poppy seed in front of the wolf. "Eat that. It will help with the pain. The marigold should ease the pain in your broken leg with the comfrey. Don't move it for a couple days and it will heal properly." With that, she picked up the rest of her herbs before trotting to her den.

"Ha! Why would you need our land? And why would I respect power? I respect our alpha, Tempest! Go clame your own land somewhere else! Wait, are you jealous?" Delta tried to get to her feed again put slipped and fell down. "I think you are jealous because we have the best land around and you want the best," She kept on talking until the dog went away and Lily brought her some juniper berries and a poppy seed while putting sticks together and tying them to Delta's leg so she couldn't move it and wouldn't hurt in more. Lily crushed things together and it smelled really bad but Delta let her put in on her leg. "The marigold should ease the pain in your broken leg with the comfrey. Don't move it for a couple days and it will heal properly," Lily said. "Don't move it! I'm a wolf not a rock! I can't sit still for days!" Delta barked at the healer, still trying to get up.
