It's a warm afternoon turning into a cool night, and you are very, very lost.

Who goes there?

The trees are alive with the last of the birdsong, and somewhere far to your left, a stream babbles merrily. Something disturbs the undergowth. Probably a mouse, nothing more.

That was far to big to be a mouse.

The sunset is as beautiful as you've ever seen it, colors so vibrant they seem almost unreal. You're tempted to stop, enjoy the moment.

You are trespassing. This is our land, our sunset.

Did you see a flash of golden eyes in the brush? Perhaps some brown fur slinking around behind you? Certainly not; this land is unclaimed.

Have the birds stopped singing?

The red of the sunset does not hold a candle to the red on the inside of a wolf, left to dry on the forest floor.

No sound remains, save the papery whisper of the grasshoppers. We do hope you have enjoyed your stay.
