The moon slowly crawls into the sky.
The sun sinks away.
The dots of light, light up the night,
sending the birds away.

The old house that stands alone is lit up from inside.
The sounds of cheers fill the night, as the day had fallen away.
As hours tick by, the laughter dies away.
The awake and thinking shut their eyes, drifting away. Eternal slumber awaited them on that very night.
The sun never did rise over that house and the memories still remain.

Fireflies find sanctuary in the long dark grass.
Owls sing in the night.
One soul remains to give visitors a fright, his screams and cries echo in the dark, reminding all who enter of what happened that very night.

Eyes they say are the windows to the soul.
But his windows are closed.
The monitor beeped the rhythm of his heart.
"He will be fine" they said, but only for it to change.
"This is the end of his line" is to what it changed.
The beeping slowed, his breathing faulter.
Tears fall as memories of what could have attire flash through the mind.
Happy, but not his ending.
All because of one small accident.

Goodbye is a hard thing to say,
one could only see that now.
The monitor finally fell silent,
amd now was the one in the bed.
Cold to the touch,
White in the face.
His windows will not open again to witness the teary face.
