The Misaki Pack Origin story begins way back with the founding members; Misaki and Hayato. They raised unsuccessful litters together for the first three years out on their own, living in the harsh alpine slopes where Misaki had been raised by her lone mother. Zenzen and Yasume were two miraculous survivors from the many litters that Misaki and Hayato had. Yasume soon grew up and travelled off to join a new pack as part of an agreement which would mean the two neighbouring packs wouldn’t trespass or harm one another’s members. Zenzen, although younger than Yasume by 12 months, was ruling alongside Misaki who was often left for long periods of time to defend the pack territory against lone rivals who were seeking to cause trouble. Hayato, was nowhere to be seen during the cold harsh winters as he would leave Misaki and Zenzen to fend for themselves all the while he was frolicking and enjoying a lavish life with a new, much stronger life that was flourishing. Zenzen followed her father one night as she watched him slink away into the night to rendezvous with his new alpha female; being the cunning pup she was, she blackmailed her father into never coming back to her or Misaki. They would be far better off without him in the long run. Misaki, though heartbroken, discovered Fenrir hovering around her and Zenzen’s territory. He wasn’t from the neighbouring pack. He was colourful; more so than what she had ever known past the bland camouflaged wolves among the alps. No, he stuck out like a sore thumb, but she was intrigued. He hadn’t tried to cause her harm, but he had given her such a fright when she had discovered him hovering around. Misaki threw caution to the wind and invited him into her life, not knowing that she and Fenrir would build an empire together, but they would also face many, many challenges together.
~Roleplay storyline key points summed up here because there is no way that I can fit more than 15 years of writing here. ~
Misaki and Fenrir were hunted, many of their pups perished, some older ones managed to escape unbeknownst to their parents, who were trucked off into an underground world of dogfighting rings and backyard breeders. When the humans needed to handle the wolf pair, they were subdued with the help of dodgy veterinarians who wanted to earn more than what they were getting paid in their 9-5 jobs. For close to five years Misaki and Fenrir managed to stay alive in the dirty underground world until one night, they escaped, fleeing the city; they became wanted fugitives. Dog control officers were paid a premium to look the other way, just to have the pair returned, but this was Misaki and Fenrir they were dealing with. Free of the cages and side by side, with an additional friend they’d made on the inside, they were practically unstoppable.
Along the way, they made friends as well as enemies. They picked up Eunowon; she was almost rabid with the number of drugged needles she’d had embedded into her in such a short life. She played a vital role in allowing Misaki and Fenrir to escape the city alongside Jasper(I truly cannot remember the name of the male that escaped with the pair) With the three wolves back in the wild, they worked hard to fend for themselves; it was hard work, they were unconditioned for this life, but with time they healed physically. Mentally, they still suffered. Nightmares of cages and being forced to fight innocent street dogs...They spent many months wandering, following their hearts in the direction towards which they had formerly called home until one mild Autumn afternoon, they were ambushed by Fenki and Fenril. They fought tooth and nail, neither side backed down until they were heaving heavily, staring one another down. It wasn’t until something changed in Fenril that he realised who he was looking at. “Mum...Dad....”
I guess you would assume from this, that everyone lived happily ever after. You would think that wouldn’t you. Well, that wasn’t the case. Jasper was jealous of Fenril being the true son of Fenrir which resulted in a scrap between the two, who had both been competing for the attention of Nithya, a young female Fenril had a soft spot for. Jasper became too big for his boots and eventually betrayed Misaki and Fenrir one night, revealing their location to a bunch of wildlife warriors who were keen to track and trace their pack. Misaki made a bold decision to ambush him at night, thus ending his life. It caused a rift between her and Fenrir for many months because Jasper had been so good to them while they had been inside the city and because of this their strength in numbers dwindled, with the pack conflicted about who they should follow, there was no clear leadership which saw the entire pack tranquilized and taken to an undisclosed zoo.
Misaki and Fenrir’s pack members were studied, genetics were taken and copied, they underwent CT scans and had blood tests done, all in the name of conservation, but something much more sinister was brewing; the laboratory that was studying this pack’s genetics soon began to create African Wild Dog x Wolf by mixing genetics in petri dishes. All sorts of multi coloured ‘wolves’ were then born into captivity. Snow Leopard genetics were added to the many concoctions, adding yet another pattern to the pelts and then one day, the lot of them were suddenly shipped off into the middle distance and released from captivity; some were released on their own for studies and others like Misaki and Fenrir were released back into the wild locations as a pair to be studied.
It is currently unclear who, from the Misaki and Fenrir clan, have survived, but Misaki and Fenrir were left to grow old together and live out the rest of their days relatively unbothered by people or other animals. They died together, curled around one another beneath the old willow tree that sits precariously on the edge of the stream.
