It starts with our starter wolves, Soul and Slate.
Soul's mother was a lone wolf who was lost, alone, pregnant, and stranded. Soul was born in the high mountains, into a world of danger. She had only ever known of hunger, doubt, pain and suspicion. Her brother died at birth, and her sister mysteriously disappeared when she was young, presumed dead. When she was just 11 months old her mother was killed by crossing into the territory of another pack. Soul, heartbroken, ran away from there and journeyed alone from then on until she met Slate.
Slate was born into a small pack that was starving but tried to make the best of their life. When he was young, his pack was destroyed by a more dominant and aggressive one. He manged to escape with his life, but swore justice to avenge his pack. He traveled alone and lost for a while, not knowing where he was going, until he met Soul. Soul saved him from getting killed by a bear, and he instantly was thankful. They traveled together from then on, telling each other stories about their families and finding similarities in life. Soon, they wanted to start a family. Even more, a pack. And that is how the pack of Moonscape came to be.

After Soul and Slate's death, along with Soul's first son (not Slate's, different father), Timberghost, all wolves in the pack Moonscape were shocked at the sudden death and desperate to repair the pack. Arrow, son of Slate and Soul, stepped up to become the next Alpha, but couldn't lead the pack alone. Without an Alpha female to stand beside him, he didn't know how to lead the pack by himself. Fortunately, Dusk came along, and she and Arrow are currently leading Moonscape...but only time will tell for how long.
