Imprisoned. Hunted. Caged. Those hunters won't keep him here behind these bars. They will not kill him. Anger laced his tongue as natural as when the sky gives way to rain, as natural as the need for air, for water to live. He will not die here. Nor the she wolf by his side that he longed for. She saw the fire within his eyes and knew within her heart that looking into those fiery eyes set her heart ablaze. She knew he was meant to be hers. Her soul mate.
He looked from her to the bars holding them captive. He growled as he bared his teeth and gripped the bars. Blood dripped down his mouth as he pulled the bars that gave way underneath his strength. He panted from the pain searing his mouth. Trickles of blood dripped onto his paws. He motioned for the she-wolf to come with him. She didn't think twice. She ran with him.
The hunters heard the commotion and chase after them with their guns, shooting at them as they run towards freedom. Their lungs burn as they pant for air running as fast as their legs can take them. Relief spreads through his body as he sees freedom, a forest a couple yards away, that comes with a promise of a future with the she-wolf by his side and the pack they will build together. But the thought of the future stops as a hunter, hidden in the shadows near the forest, appears in their path with a shotgun aimed towards his heart.
It's now or never he thinks as he zigzags toward the hunter. The hunter shoots the lightning from the stick with ease, but misses his mark. Wrong. Wrong move hunter. He lunges for the hunter's throat, misses, but grabs the gun and breaks it with his teeth. Tries again, misses again, but manages to tear off his arm that protects his windpipe.
Once he tears the hunter's arm off, he swirls around behind the hunter and pushes the hunter to the ground. The hunter screams, but his screams fall on deaf ears. He bares his teeth, tears out the hunter's windpipe, and when he is done, he looks at the fallen hunter's lifeless body. Tear stained eyes, mouth leaking with a deep crimson that adds to the pool of blood around the hunter's body as he drops the hunter's windpipe down onto the hunter's chest. His blood stained teeth curve into a satisfied smirk as his toes curl at the pleasure of the kill. He lets out a howl of death only known to those who have killed to survive, because thanks to him, this hunter won't be hunting them again. He glares at the other hunters closing in, but they are too late. He, and the she-wolf by his side, fade into the forest never to be caught again.
