i'm in a pretty rural area and it's hard to express myself. but when i visited chicago for a few days with a friend i felt so at home. so many different types of people and nobody cared how you looked or acted

I live on the coast and the worst I've experienced is stares from older, you know who, folks when I hold her hand, but they whip their heads away or don't say a word when I return their gaze 😂 in contrast when I went to visit my partner's hometown a province over we got comments and whispers even though it was supposedly safe
