If you lose a litter then pups run off. They never existed/are deleted.

Ones that are born already you can free range and get back for some mush if they were born into your pack

the pups wander off and you can't get them back if you have no space since the pups never existed unless you free ranged pups that had been born. Those you can get back

If your wolves give birth & there's no space, the pups go to the free range.
You can get them back (when you have space) by spending 20 mush
(Pack > Account > Retrieve wolf from free range)

sadly the ones that are born after you have no space will I don't know really how to describe it but like they won't appear they'll just like I guess not be born that's the best way to describe it.
