Biography I have never been an ordinary wolf. I have a rare defect called Erythrism, which makes my fur dark orange. But I am also different in other ways. Although I played with the other pups when I was younger, seeming light and carefree, there was always something deep inside my mind, a kind of hidden power. It stayed away during my waking hours, but when I slept, I could control it. In my dreams, I would manipulate water, pulling it from the sky and twirling it through the air. The more I did with my power, the more of it would fill my mind, until I was overflowing with it, a thunderstorm raging around me. Yet I could never seem to access the power outside of dreams- it was a flower that bloomed at night but closed during the day. And so I lived my life just like any other wolf, up until I reached the age of three moons. I was running around the den in the late evening while the other pups rested, and caught a glimpse of the world outside. I was allowed to explore with adult wolves during the day, but had never seen the forest at sunset before. I slowly padded out of the den, mesmerized by the fiery golden leaves. Fireflies were beginning to come out, softly glowing in the slight mist. They seemed to be leading me into the forest, so I followed. My orange pelt blended so well with the light that nobody saw me leave. The fireflies disappeared after a few minutes of wandering through the trees, and I realized that I was lost. I was only a young pup, so I panicked at the thought of being alone and lost at night. I was so scared that I didn't even notice when I crossed the border into another pack's territory, just before stumbling out into a beautiful, flower-covered field. The scent of the flowers calmed me down, and I looked up to see that the sun was beginning to rise. I gazed at the golden light on the tops of the trees and the soft blue glow illuminating the field, and I felt something. My power was coming out! I did what I had been doing in dreams my entire life, and focused my power on water, pulling it from the ground, the air, and the clouds. As I heard it drizzle down on the flowers around me and roll off of my glossy fur like it does on a duck's feathers, I felt more power rushing into my mind. I used it to pull more water from everything around me, sending it swirling all around me. Finally, I pushed it all into the shape of a wolf, and held it that way. "Lead me to the den," I said. The water-wolf turned and ran into the forest, each paw-step pattering like rain on the leaves. By noon, the water-wolf had led me to the edge of the forest around the den. The water-wolf faded into mist before disappearing. I spotted my mother and ran to her. "Maya!" she barked, running to me. "Everyone was worried! Where were you? How did you find your way back?", she continued, sounding more scared than angry. Obviously, nobody believed me when I said that my water-wolf had led me home. And so, life continued, at least for a few days. Then one night, I saw the fireflies again. They were, like the last time, leading me into the forest. Once again, I followed. But this time they did not disappear. They continued leading me into the forest, always just out of reach, until I reached the field. As I padded out of the woods, I saw that the open area was full of fireflies. They were everywhere- glowing on the blades of grass, lighting up flowers, and flashing in the sky. I felt the power return the my mind, and as I had done before, I pulled shimmering drops of water from everywhere around me, swirling them into a water-wolf. "Lead me home," I said. But the wolf did not turn and walk away, as it had before. Instead, it simply faded into mist and vanished, as it had the last time it had completed its task. At first I thought that something was wrong with the wolf this time, but then I realized... I was already home. This was the place that I was really powerful. As I realized that this was my home, I realized that Maya was not my name. But then I needed a new one.... I looked up at the sky, and remembered a name I had heard once, a name of a legendary leader, mother, and warrior. Azura. I looked down just in time to see a firefly's glow light up a calla lily. Calla. But which one? They both felt like me, so both. Calla Azura. Just as I thought the name, there was a flash in front of me. A pack of wolves appeared, all a light silvery blue, like shaded water at dawn. Two wolves stepped forward. I somehow knew what they were saying, although they remained silent. "We are Calla and Azura," they said. "We were strong wolves, as you will be. As you know, this is your home, your Spirit-Place. But it is not your pack, and neither are the wolves you have lived with. We have sent a wolf to find you, and bring you to where you belong,". Before I had time to respond, they faded away, leaving me alone for a few moments. --->

| Personality Then a gray and silver she-wolf walked out of the forest. "Hello, Calla Azura," she said. "I am Terra Ayira, the Beta female of the Pack of the Earth, and I am here to show you to our den, as I'm sure your namesakes have told you. Follow me,". I did not want to join a new pack, so I didn't follow her. Instead, I created thick fog, creating a water wolf to lead me as I ran. After only a few paw-steps, I could hear Terra Ayira following me. She could run faster than I could, but could not see through the fog like I could. I reached my pack's den before she did, the fog vanishing with my power. She caught up with me quickly, grabbing my scruff before anyone could react, and placing me behind her, telling me to stay. My pack's Alpha male stood up quickly, stepping forwards. "Give me the pup," he growled. "You don't want to fight me,". Terra Ayira responded, saying "Why don't we fight, and the winner's pack keeps the pup?". Alpha accepted, and the two wolves stepped towards each other, circling around. Alpha pounced, expecting Terra Ayira to be trapped beneath his weight. But she was no longer there- instead, her front paws were on his back, pinning him down. "My pack gets Calla Azura," she barked, letting Alpha stand. She stood as I said goodbye to my pack, moving through the group of wolves. Finally, I reached my mother, Raza. "I have a kind of power," I told her. "I think it's like a flower- it can grow and bloom in many bright colors, but if it's in the wrong place, it will wither and die. My new pack is the right place. Goodbye, Raza,". Then I ran to Terra, walking by her side on the journey to my new pack.
TWO MOONS LATER I met another pup on my first day in the pack, and we were instant friends.
Preferences Her name was Ciara Istas, and she was the best play-fighter I had ever met. She won this pack tenth place in the Full Moon Festival's Pup Wrestling competition! But we also ran, sometimes, with her chasing me through the forest, where we were technically not supposed to be. One day, she chased me all the way to the mountain lake, her father Quest following us, barking at us to "Get back here!". As I came out of the evergreens surrounding the lake, I froze, sliding to a stop over the smooth grass. There was a pup there! He was a bit younger than me. Telling you what happened would take too long, but that is what Everest's biography is about.
NINE MOONS LATER Everest and I had become the new Alpha pair. We renamed this pack the Mountain Moon Pack, as it fit us better, and was the tradition of our Alphas. I went to my field whenever I could, but leading a pack doesn't leave much free time, and when I did go there, I did not use my power. It had become stronger, and when I used it even a bit, more power instantly rushed into my head, making me want to use more. It had become hard to resist, so even in my free time, I didn't spend much time in my Spirit-Place. I simply hunted with the rest of the pack, leading them through the seasons for moons on end. But soon, there was a drought. No rain had fallen for moons, and water had become difficult to find. The pack could not survive without water, and the wolves were quickly weakening. Everest and I had just had our first litter, and the pups weren't very healthy. With the pack weak, they would die. No wolf knew what to do- except for me.
Special Skills I knew I would have to use my power again, to save not only my pack, but the entire Realm. However, I didn't know if I could control my powers, so I went to my Spirit-Place alone. I could not see any of the Spirit-Wolves that were often there (my namesakes and others), but I could feel them all around me, as silent and still as the air. I searched through my mind for the source of my power. I found it, and drew a bit of water out of the air, holding it in a perfect sphere for a moment before splitting it into many droplets. I used the power already there to create more water, pulling in from everywhere around me, until I was surrounded by them. But I would need much more than that. So I continued, the water and the power I had growing exponentially. The sky above my Spirit-Place was full of water, shimmering in tiny, perfect spheres. It was getting harder to control all of the water, but it still was not enough. I knew I had to end the drought, so I continued on anyway. The control I had over my power waned quickly, until I knew I was about to lose control of the water. But, just as some of the water began to fall, Everest came out of the forest, just ahead of the rest of the pack. Around them swarmed fireflies. Everest had seen the water and felt that it was me. I saw my pack, and it gave me strength. I knew what I was fighting to save. The falling water moved back into the air, and more droplets began to appear, faster and faster, while I kept control. As I finally sent the water spinning out over the Realm, I saw the eyes of Calla and Azura watching me from the shadows of the forest. The water fell, and they disappeared with the fireflies.
ONE MONTH LATER The water I had created and scattered had kept the Realm alive until the rains returned. However, only one of me and Everest's pups survived- Rinan. The others had been weakened by the drought, and I was too late to save them. When I am a Spirit-Wolf, I will be with them forever.
