Biography "Time misspent in youth is sometimes all the freedom one ever has." Éamonn's birth was a surprise to everyone but his mother. It was a painful birth, and sometimes he thought he heard whispers around him that a painful birth was always meant as a sign. As he grew up, Éamonn was constantly aware of the stares that seemed to follow his paw steps. Some, like the Sir Bricius's, seemed harsher than most, while others seemed simply curious. However, he spent much of his time alone, separated from the pack because of the circumstances surrounding his birth. His mother, Priestess Aisling, spent quite a bit of time with him, forming a strong bond between the two of them. It was his father, however, the Chancellor Njörôr, whom Éamonn loved most. They passed away many moonless nights together, just the two of them. His father taught him the ancient history of their world, the sacred bloodlines, and the importance of rank. Indeed, they talked a lot about rank. Éamonn understands his father's implied message: Don't make the mistakes I did. So Éamonn pined away the years, gaining the respect of his pack, and yearning the love of the one wolf he could never have, and the only wolf he would ever love. Princess Virva. Virva, the wolf that no one found any beauty in, captivated Éamonn with her empathy and modesty. Secretly, he hoped that he and her could become as his parents had, Chancellor and Priestess together, though he knew it would not work. He wanted to hold his head high and honor his father by becoming Chancellor. To do that he would have to follow all the rules. A very large part of Njörðr retaining the position of Chancellor in the pack after his affair with the Priestess was due to his circumstances. Éamonn would have no excuse. So he held his love inside, and he allowed only strong friendship to form between Virva and himself. One night Éamonn and his father stayed out speaking of the future until they fell asleep. In the morning, Éamonn found his father had died peacefully in his sleep. Éamonn's laid beside his father for many more hours. He thought of how his father, so wise and knowledgeable, had never seen his face. He thought of his duty to his pack now. Someone would have to take Njörðr's place. Now it was between him and Sir Bricius. Bricius, hungry for power wasted no time in challenging him. Duke Yngvar and King Piaras supported Bricius but the Duchess Iseult and Queen Thora were firm in their support for Éamonn. They said that Éamonn was the rightful Chancellor after Njörðr's service. His father had helped him one last time. Éamonn looked at the Virva as the ceremony took place. His time of following her was over. His freedom at an end. Years would come and go. Niklas would replace Piaras as King, and Deirdre would replace Thora as Queen. His dear mother died just before the transition, Priestess Yasmin taking her place. Everything was changing, and he hated it. His daughter, Freyja, and grandchildren prospered. Then the illness struck and he lost two of his family to it. He watched Virva anxiously during this time when he knew he should have been doing his duty. They were not as young as they once were. In the chaos and the suffering that the pack was going through, Éamonn began to realize that Virva mattered more than any position, any title. When she confessed her love for him, a love he had always saw in her eyes but tried to ignore, his heart was consumed in rapturous flames. They became mates, and Virva concieved. Éamonn loved his daughter Freyja, and when he told her she would become a sister, he worried he might lose her. Despite the fact she was the offspring of a female he did not love, he adored her. Luckily, she returned his affection and delighted him by saying she would be happy to be a sister. Virva's pregnancy was harder than any female's since the pack began. She was constantly in pain. Éamonn hated himself for it. However, she gave birth to six pups. Their surviving daughter was named Brynhildr, and she was healthy and beautiful. Éamonn and Virva were finally able to be together, as they had so long deserved. Brynhildr attracted a suitor. She gave birth to a son, Lord Weylen. However, she shortly disappeared afterwards. This caused Virva's heart to give out. Virva lay dying in her den, and Éamonn lay beside her. They were both old but time seemed to press too close. They recalled their night together in the winter. Virva's eyes met Éamonn's. Then she passed away. Éamonn mourned but was comforted by their grandson who had his pelt and Virva's black shoulder. | Personality Éamonn grew up a strong and kind pup, taking the best characteristics of both his parents. He became educated, and soon began to turn his dark blue eyes towards the Chancellor position. He has an ambitious streak in him, but not a mean bone in his body. His ambition was motivated more for his family than for himself. However, he sometimes snaps at wolves if he's already irritated, taking the frustration of his problems and burdens out on others. Princess Virva was always a balm to cool his temper. He knows he must get this under control. As Chancellor he must assist the Queen in judging as well as manage negotiations.
