"Guard them, Caraline. Protect them all until they can return to their rightful places in this fallen world." The mysterious, dark wolf said. His voice shook in the cold, "You, of all wolves, can." Within seconds the wolf was gone, as if he simply had faded away.
Caraline did not know how she came apon the wolf, but either way the kindness in her heart would not turn down his request.
The rain slowed down to a drizzle. She could now see the four animals that huddled around her. A mouse, rat, and two foxes, one grey and one red.
She studied them, they'd seemed oddly familiar, even though she'd never been close to one of their kind before.
The rain stopped,peering through the mountains she watched as, Adrian, Roanoke RogueBlood's third alpha and her father, stood ready to lead the pack further into the territory.
It was at this moment she relized who these animals were, they were the animals who had been at the pack's side since the beggining of it's existance.
