Biography
When she came to the pack, Vanilla knew nobody. She was shy and sightly scared. She had learned to like Laura; she was friendly and kind to the little pup. She took her through the forest, explaining that she would make many friends. Vanilla was taught a couple of healing herbs along the way, oblivious to Laura's sadness.
She froze. It seemed like endless waves of wolves in all directions although she knew there were only a few. None were paying much attention to her, but a smaller female wolf joined them. Vanilla noticed Laura backed away slightly, but couldn't understand why. The small female couldn't do much damage, could she?
To her surprise, the wolf smiled and chuckled. "I'm Creme," she said. "I'll show you around. Come on."
The more Vanilla noticed, the more she liked about the pack. She saw two female pups racing around in play. Perhaps they could be possible friends, she thought. Or, with anything, enemies. She wanted to avoid making enemies as much as possible.
Another, much larger male wolf walked over and licked Creme's cheek. She giggled and prodded him with her tail. The wolf looked down. "Hello there," he said. "I'm Corizay, Creme's mate and Alpha male of the pack." Vanilla was surprised; the small tortoiseshell wolf was the Alpha female? But it explained why she laughed at Vanilla's expression earlier.
She then noticed, as the Alphas left, that Laura seemed quite distant. Another wolf was behind her; she spoke with a soft, calming voice, not unlike Laura's herself. "She lost her mentor before you came," the wolf said, stroking Vanilla's head with her tail.The pup looked up. "What do you mean? In the forest?" the other wolf smiled at her innocence. "No," she said. "She died."
Vanilla looked at the ground. "Oh." was all she could say, but she watched Laura brighten as another wolf, Pancake, she learned later on, came to cheer her up.
There seemed to be so many wolves!
