"Leaping Branch," that voice rings in her ears a name she had long since forgotten... her name before everything fell to dark, before she fell

"Running River" a young wolf calls to her friend as the two play fight,
years before all went to doom, before a darkness found her? before the ash covered all,
the flash of heat and crackle of flames broke the quiet, as ash falls like rain a wolf works to get them out... even as her breath staggers and the smoke stings her eyes, trying to get them out before to late

she did not know what would come, nearing safety one is not found
"Leaping branch?" a wolf says looking for his friend, as he nears the spot where the river cuts through the earth, leaving a deep gash, the fire draws closer,
The male tries to return but an elder stops him"she new the risks she would'nt want this... you risking everything"

reluctently the male heads off, to where the fire will not reach
unknown to the pack she made it out.. to a place she thought would be safe from the deadly haze..

leaving only to find a new esacpe her once brown fur now covered by ash as slowly she makes it to another route, her eyes begin to close, yet her eyes open once more... alas different then before, everythng but her eyes turned to ash.. like the charred or dead branch one that fell
