Biography Rildraoth the quiet one, the calm one, compared to his brother, Assassin. He admired his brothers courage and daring nature, but he could never quite live up to him. It was hard; his brother was popular, cocky but loved by all. Rild knew he was never going to be the same so he chose a different route. He spent more time with his mother than Assassin did, for she knew lots of things. She taught Rild everything she knew. Rild was inspired by her and listened every time she spoke to him, unlike Assassin, who listened to nobody but himself. Whereas Assassin awed power, Rild prised knowledge. He became very smart, even as a pup. In his juvenile years, Rild overheard Assassin speaking to his friends, saying they were going to sneak out later to explore. Rild was horrified. What if his brother got hurt? Later, when Assassin was leaving, Rild confronted him. He told him what he really thought, how he shouldnt go out, what could happen to him? Rild told Assassin his thoughts on his love for adventure. He had never seen his brother so angry. Assassin snarled loudly at him. He didnt care what Rild thought, he wanted to do what he wanted, and he was going to do it anyway. He didnt need his little brother anyway. It broke Rilds heart to hear that. As Assassin turned away, Rild sat with grief. His brother didnt care, when all he wanted to do was protect him, like he did as a pup. It seemed like forever, waiting for his brother to return safely. Part of him wanted to have a nice time, be proved wrong by Assassin. But there was that tiny fraction of him desperately craving for Assassin to realise his mistake. But either way, he wanted his brother back. He heard a howl of joy in the distance. He recognised it as Assassins. Rild spirits suddenly lifted. He saw a flicker of hope in the horizon. Assassin could still return home. But something was wrong. Rild could feel it. There was something that wasnt quite right. He heard a bears roar, so loud it should have been next to him. He whipped around in terror but there was nothing, yet he could smell it. He could smell fresh blood, the foul odour of the bear itself, and the evil scent of death. He felt fear coursing through him, running or his life. But he was safe, in his warm, cosy den. No danger. No blood. No bears. No death. Then why could he sense it? He wandered away from the pack right to the edge of the territory. Some wolves watched him, giving him confused looks. Everybody knew Rild to be quiet and calm, never daring. The bushed shifted, and his brother burst through, his eyes wild with fear. Rilds eyes widened and he crashed into Assassin, licking him over to check for wounds. His brother whined like a small pup, curling up protectively while he let Rild check him. Rild listened to Assassins story, and he greeted him back into the pack. The bond between them was restored. But he never told Assassin about what he saw that day.
