One night, it was a full moon again and Sand saw those same staring eyes. But now there have been two sets eyes that he has been seeing a little bit just recently. He had been studying these creatures for a while, watching them closely. He figured out their patterns, they only come every full moon. Maybe these aren't dangerous creatures. Curiosity got the best of him and he went to go, finally, see these creatures. But he still wasn't sure if they were dangerous so he decided to ambush them from behind. He knew he had to do this quietly. Sun, Moon, and their new pup Star were all sleeping. He felt bad for Star, her being deaf and all, not being able to hear her mother's sweet voice. Never mind that now, he was on a mission. He howled at the creatures and turned around and walked to the bushes near the alphas' den. He slinked into the bushes and made his way up and around the hill till he knew he was behind the creatures. He took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and pounced... But when he opened his eyes he saw what he thought he would have never seen again... "Mother!?!" He shouted with disbelief. He looked at his mother's surprised face and looked up and found Fengo staring at him. He surprised himself by sprinting down the hill away from the wolves he had wanted to see so bad. He had so many questions to ask them. He got back into the clearing of the camp. He turned back to the wolves stuck his ears up, bared his teeth, and growled at them, "How could you!?! How dare you set paw here! I know you are not here to take me back so get out of here! You don't love me! I bet you never loved me! You only favor my brother! He was everything I wanted and you took me away from him! You know what?!? I never want see him again! I never want to see your pathetic, worthless pack EVER again! Get! Get out of here!" He didn't mean any of those words! He heard the words come out his mouth but he didn't feel like he was saying those to his own loved ones. He wanted them to hear what he really had to say! He wanted to have his questions answered. He knew they must love him so much that they would risk coming out here to see him. He ever so wanted to see the pack again... Especially his brother... Sun and Moon came out wondering what the commotion was and they immediately wrapped their tails around him and asked him so many questions just like what worried parents would do. But he didn't hear all the questions, not like he was listening to them anyways. He had so many things running through his mind. He slowly, shaking so much from the lies he told to his family... yelling those lies, curled himself up into a tight ball and saw his vision get blurry as tears came to his eyes and he whimpered and cried through that night remembering all the sweet times with his pack and family... and all the sweet times with his mother... and brother... And now that was all gone and his life was cold and bitter. His life was bittersweet. No wonder why when he heard the humans say 'curiosity killed the cat' it was true. Except in this case it was a wolf... and this wolf was Sand...
A couple days later he heard the news... his pups were born from Aldolpha Is The New May! He was so happy and excited... but also very tired. He'd lost a lot of sleep due to continuous nightmares. And when he heard the names he yipped and jumped around like a crazed rabbit. Rachel and Bethany, what better names could there be. Both names meant gentle things, like, Rachel meant 'sheep' or 'ewe' and Bethany meant 'house of figs' or 'daughter of the Lord'. He had forgotten about May because of all the troubles he was going through. He yearned to see his pups, but he knew the answer to that... he couldn't see them... he probably could never go 20 pawsteps near the pack. He was a bit saddened by the thought, but he was still happy. Especially how they get to both stay with their mother... hopefully... He reminded himself to stay happy and not be depressed. And if the pack did leave them stranded he knew he would take his pups into this pack. But anyways... His pups were born...
