Biography
Princess Skylark Solaris was the only daughter of Princess Perpetua Parthena. She was the sister of Prince Caldera, who left the pack to venture north to the Dragonbone Mountains to live with King Maelor Valmara. Both Skylark and Caldera were famous for their howling voices, which were said to be blessings from the Master of Spinning, a god who spun Sunlight, Souls, and Songs. The God of Spinning also spun arrows and ice. It was said the Master of Spinning admired the striking colors of the twins when they were born. The God wore garments of sunrise gold, sorrow song blue, arrow-born blood, and ice kissed white. So, he favored the twins with the gift of song. Skylark became an accomplished warrior who would sing as the Bron wolves paced to war and toss arrows into the hearts of her enemies with a toss of her head. Caldera sung to keep the Dragon wolves warm through cold winters of the North. The siblings saw each other once a month under the full moon to share the gift of the Master of Spinning with other packs. Skylark would pass on her love of singing to her daughter, Revna Thora, who bore little resemblance to her mother aside from her eyes. The Master of Spinning kept the twins humble, for he meant for their last song to be their best--as is the way of last songs. Caldera died under the full moon, after the first night of song. Skylark finished their song, and it was known among all lands as the most beautiful ever heard. The Master of Spinning would have Caldera and his sister keep his company ever after.
