I sometimes wonder about our society,
Do we really forget our humanity?
We kick a person when they're up,
we stomp harder when they're down.
We spread gossip, throw around false accusations just for those precious fifteen minutes of fame.
We become sharks,
searching for fresh meat.
We tear a person apart,
using their insecurities and past mistakes.
We don't care what's at stake,
we just attack.
Then, we devour that person's self-esteem and spit it out,
leaving the rest for the vultures.
We become vampires,
smelling new blood.
No garlic can stop it.
We tell lie after lie,
We suck and suck the life out of somebody
until they have no fight left.
I sometimes wonder about our society,
Have we really forgotten about our humanity?
