a wolf watches through the darkness through tear-filled eyes, as the storm echos above, all around cries are heard the ground stained with blood.
the young wolf watches, tremmbeling as one wolf looks to her the older males eyes full of grief and knowledge,
an alpha that has seen many fights.
now knows this is his last, he beckoned her to come, her greyish brown fur blended with the shadows of the forest.
as she creeps out, that's when all goes wrong one moment shes standing the next on the ground.
from the bushes she hears cries of pups, anger and love shine in her eyes as she regains her footing, though blood seeps from the wound on her neck, still she stands strong.
the protection of a mother's love in her eyes as she gives the old alpha a pleading look one of hope that he can save her pups.
the young wolves wail as the old male leads them away the mother looks back one last time, not knowing what is coming soon she falls down blood pools under her.
never did she know never to turn your back to an enemy's sight, she left herself open to the fatal attack.
a wolf her fur covered in crimson watches from above her green eyes fill with sorrow as she mouths goodbye.
now blooded soul that fell in a fight many years ago

a stone now stands next to the rest of an old male that watched his pack, the young wolf he knew for so long the one that was named for the shadows cast by the trees.
one that was barely older than a pup her self only four seasons she saw.
