Black paws padded in the clearing, making small splashes as they walked through puddles. "My, my, what are we going to do?" Athaeis paused. Tilting his head toward the sky, he couldn't help the rush of exhilaration coursing through him. It felt... free.
He hardly noticed when an old wolf walked right up to him. The wolf carried himself with confidence, giving a small smile at Athaeis. He looked on in his years, as if he might not live as long as he could.
An alpha. If anything, this wolf was an alpha. When he spoke, it was as if the trees chose to move with him. It was a deep rumble, still with a hint of playfulness left with old age. "May the moon and stars guide your path, friend."
He watched in shock as the alpha dipped his head to him. Alphas never submitted for someone like him. But that didn't make him weak- in fact, he was anything but. "My name is Dark Moon. And I would like you to join our pack."
It was... soon. So very soon after he had lost his own pack. But he was ready for another.
