| Totally agree with moon, if you aren’t dependent on them in any way then fuck em. You wouldn’t stay friends with someone who treated you like that and I don’t think family is different just because they gave you life and raised you. You deserve respect and you need peace to be your best self. Clearly your parents are just keeping you down for their own selfish reasons |

They get you back when they decide to be considerate human beings. Not all blood relatives are family. My dad is blood, but he ain't my family. And he gets no part of my life anymore. But I've got a family friend I consider my aunt. I've had friends I'd consider siblings. I won't make a decision for you, but sometimes, it's better to let go.
