Kadanny's family is incredibly impressive. His mother, Jayna, a wolf with a huge stature and two blazing violet eyes, was the kind of mother who could get her kids to stay quiet just by glancing at them and who made demonic killers ashamed of themselves. Her first son had cerebellar hypoplasia, but his father was a kind wolf and loved him very much. With the help of his mother and father, he turned out to be a charming young wolf who would go on to take over the pack when his father died. Her second son's father was a chimera, king of the tundra, but he was born with no sense of smell. His father didn't want him, and Jayna traveled with him until they came across a dying pack who begged her son to become their alpha. When Jayna arrived at her current pack, she was pregnant by the entroprion, ugly alpha male of another pack, and when her son was born he was red as flames and also an entroprion. Despite this, he worked his way up to alpha of this new pack and ended up with many children. Then, years later, came Jayna's fourth son. All three of her other sons had worked their way past defects to become great leaders. Kadanny's father was a pretty passing merchant who Jayna fell for. He was her first son born without a defect, with that huge stature of his mother and brother, and gorgeous to boot. Well, if Jayla's three other sons had managed despite their defects, she expected Kadanny, who had every advantage he could, to be so much greater. The pressure was on. His mother was far too old to be training him, so his brother Rojo took over. Kadanny struggled, however, and he just couldn't seem to learn. His mother was very disappointed in him. She wanted to be alive to see him succeed. So when a rabid grizzly bear invaded their territory, Kadanny set out to kill it and prove himself. It found him before he found it. When his pack tracked him down, he was lying in a puddle of blood but he was still alive. They found and killed the bear, and the healers of the pack looked after Kadanny. He had contracted rabies from the bear, and the healers knew no way to heal it, only to suppress it. Kadanny has continued to struggle to impress his mother. But now he was just like her other sons: broken, in a way. She no longer expected much of him. He wants to prove her wrong.

Kadanny has struggled his entire life to impress the wolves around him, to meet their expectations. Mostly he wants to prove to his mother that he really is just as good as his brothers, or better. Every single one of his brothers has become alpha, and this is what he aspires to. Not because he wants to, but because he knows it's what his mother expects and he loves her very much. He works very hard but often has trouble accomplishing things because he's easily distracted and doesn't catch on quickly. He gets frustrated a lot and will often rage-quit projects before sheepishly returning to them. He has a lot of pent-up anger but he'll often remain perfectly calm until he finally gets pushed over the edge, when he'll just explode. He always apologizes afterwards, though, and often lets other wolves push him around because he doesn't want to get mad. He's really a very good-natured wolf, but often holds back on helping others out because he's focused mostly on getting himself ahead. He's often stressed and he really does hate it, but what else can he do? He just wants his mother to be proud, he wants to be like his brothers. Especially Rojo, his role model and best friend.
