Biography Caerban was bound for a sanctuary on the eastern border of Yellowknife National Park, in the hopes that she would be accepted into the resident pack. Her keepers had high hopes for Caerban and the ability to stand her ground. As the truck rumbled along the dirt path, Caerban had slowly come to her senses after being tranquilised. She rolled onto her left side, and licked her chops, a sour taste in her mouth made her screw her face up in displeasure and then she yawned. The gentle rumbling from the lulled her and she was aware of the fact that she was drifting off into a slumber once more. Fighting the urge to close her eyes, Caerban moved onto her stomach and tested her legs wearily. She wobbled dangerously, but soon found she had control of her movements again. Turning around in the crate, Caerban took a few soft steps towards the grated window and surveyed the new landmarks that passed her.
Caerban let out an excitable yip. This new territory suited her perfectly, with the dry Savanna grasses and a few wilding pines growing in dense clusters; it sent her into a happy frenzy, moving in circles around the box. Caerban threw her head back and let out one of the longest howls of her life and as she drew the pitch to an end and focused on waiting for her breathing to even out again, she let her tongue lol to the side of her jaw. Drool rolled off her tongue and landed on her front paws. "Classy." she muttered to herself and then she froze. She could've sworn she had just caught a taste of another wolf's scent on her tongue and no more than a few seconds later her ears perked up at the long distance response she had received from the foreign wolf.
Caerban moved to the grate again and tried to spot the new wolf, but of course she coudn't with her limited line of sight. She stood there in her crate; a little disheartened, but swaying with the movements of the truck and decided that all she could do was wait until she was let out of the box.
A few moments later
Caerban could feel the truck slowing and she got to her feet, peering out of the grate and sniffing the warm air once more. Her ears twitched at the sound of her keepers slamming the truck doors shut and she waited patiently for them to open the hatch. She'd been shifted around various enclosures to know the routine quite well now and she waited eagerly until she could see the crate door being lifted. She forced herself to count to twenty, and then the gap was large enough for her to leap out. Caerban pushed off the straw bedding of the crate and bounded out into the new surroundings. She'd taken off like a bullet, as per normal for her, and then she turned to watch the reactions of her two keepers who were patiently standing, their rifles and tranquilliser guns ready in the event she decided to turn on them. She could see them smiling at her and she wagged her tail and yipped, imploring them to tell her to settle down, but their command never came. Caerban tilted her head and then slowly looked around. "The fences..." She whispered softly to herself as her keepers got slowly back into the safety of the truck and started up the engine.
A voice from behind her caught Caerban out. She was startled, but she quickly composed herself. Puffing out her chest, Caerban proudly walked towards the new face. She wondered where he had come from and a flicker of confusion formed on her face. He was a wolf, she could see that much. The ears on him were a dead giveaway, still, she was a little hesitant. "What's yer name?" She asked, the tendency to have an excited yip on her emotions often cropped up which caused her to sound a little strange sometimes. "Sorry! Of course, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Caerban. I go by Caer* most of the time. Boy, am I glad to see you. Do ya know where we might be? I noticed there aren't any fences around here..." She trailed off, having realised she was chattering too much again.
*Pronounced like Kaia-Bin or her nickname is just like the girl's name, Kaia. Kaia-Bahn...As in autobahn is another pronunciation.

| Personality Having come from captivity, Caer is full of confidence because she hasn't experienced life outside the fences. Some might even see her as cocky because of the confidence.
Caerban has a heart of gold, she's ultimately one big, clumsy pup which could also be part of the reason why trouble finds her. While her maturity might be lacking most of the time, Caerban can bedrock when it is required of her. She'll put her head down to focus on the task at hand. Unfortunately, Caerban has really only known people who were working towards conservation goals, if you could call it that. They didn't experiment on her or any others at the wildlife sanctuary that may have caused harm, however, these people did create Caerban in a Petri dish with the DNA from a wolf and an African Wild Dog.
Since Caerban is a hybrid, she's a tad insecure about her ears.
Preferences At the wildlife park, the wolves harassed her for the shape of them as well as her splotchy pelt colours. The African Wild Dogs shunned her mainly for her broad shoulders, although some of the dogs hounded her about her height and thicker tail. Life at the wildlife sanctuary has taught her she's better suited to have a preference towards living with a pack of African Wild Dogs but since having been released into Yellowknife, Caerban has found herself preferring the company of Grimmauld.

Special Skills With her confidence likely to go to her head, Caerban finds herself with the pretty unlucky skillset of often finding herself getting into small spats and scraps. These are mostly with other wolves, or African Wild Dogs. because she doesn't quite understand hierarchy or hasn't learned how to correctly show respect to alphas.
