name meaning: Balder was the Norse god of light and purity and epitomized the effulgent summer sun itself. He was characterized as a fair, wise and gracious divine being of beauty and elegance.
A large moon splashed male stood tall at the top stone on the cliffs edge, staring out at the territory as his deep, ocean trench blue eyes scanned the horizon, his large antlers gleaming in the sun. it was part of his ancient packs ritual when a leader became alpha to collect the antlers on the buck that the first hunt he held as alpha and wear it till he lost alphas position. as he watched over the territory, ruling alone for now as he watched his pack, Valkyrie and warriors mingle and conversation happily. he liked it when his pack got along and socialized, some alphas think its wasting time but really its making each wolf trust each other more, building there ability to work together as one during hunts and battles.

The large grey male who stood tallest of them all spoke,"var." his blue eyes shifted to meet the gaze of his mate, the alpha female. the darker grey she wolf turned her elegant head towards him, her multicolored eyes focused on his cold blue gaze,"What is it balder?" The alpha spoke, shifting his gaze back to his territory, his voice echoing like rolling thunder,"Do you think things would ever change?" Var, the alpha female flicked her ears, her gaze turning to a focused and deep in thought look,"why would we ever want change?" Balder frowned,"you never know if it could happen." Var huffed and stared off into the distance,"but everything's so... perfect." Balder turned his gaze to his mate and licked her nose,"i didn't want to worry you my dear, but all things come to an end-" his gaze turned towards the skys as he looked up into the clouds, as if he was referencing to something that he had heard long ago,"we must be prepared for the worst." vars multi colored gaze turned towards him and then followed it to the sky, nudging him affectionately she spoke, her voice like silk," you have the wisdom of the alphas of the past, i believe in you." she smiled as his gaze met hers,"im always here for you." Balder nuzzled his mate and smiled up at the sky. The reddish furred females gentle gaze flicked towards the sky in thought, in wonder of change after listening to the alphas conversation.
