Biography
Guardian is a bit different from many wolves in WolfPlay. He was born into captivity in the Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge, as part of the the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Red Wolf Recovery Program. When he was old enough, the humans placed him with a wild mother & her pups using a method known as “fostering” to reintroduce red wolves into the wild. At first he was quite sad, lonely and withdrawn, missing his own mother and litter mates. Soon, hunger and instinct kicked in, and he knew he had to take action in order to just survive in this vast new world.
He wandered the extensive river bottomland forests and swamps of northeastern North Carolina, honing his hunting and battle skills, developing a strong sense of survival and dominance. Many moons came and went, seasons passed, he knew not how many. Then, while wandering a swampy wooded area near Pamilco, he came upon a shy and seductive she-wolf. A beautiful red wolf who went by the name of Dare, he simply could not resist her wiles!
Guardian is now considered a top predator, and is quite protective of his territory, which spans 40 square miles of pine and hardwood forests and swamps. Hunting mostly from dusk till dawn, with his lifelong mate, Dare, they prey mostly on rabbits, squirrels, raccoons, and other small mammals. Occasionally, they hunt for larger game such as wild pigs and deer. When game is scarce, Guardian will go out in search of berries or insect colonies for the pack to feed upon.
Guardian & Dare, together, lead the Pathfinders pack, in alliance with the Lightbringers, with the goal to keep justice reigning in the wilds, as well as to keep all wolves safe from any predator, animal or human, that would do them harm.

Guardian is foremost, a survivor. Futhermore, he is intelligent, strong, courageous, and just; as a leader should be. HeÂ’s sexy and he knows it, yet he is true to his mate. For an Alpha male, he is friendly and very compassionate. DonÂ’t let all that fool you though, his gavel of justice (aka his teeth and claws) will rain down upon wrong-doers, or those that exhibit bad behavior and put the pack at risk. He canÂ’t stand rude behavior, and he wonÂ’t tolerate it!
Preferences
GuardianÂ’s territorial preferences are the forests instead of the swamps, though he will go into the swamps when necessary. He prefers peace over war, but wonÂ’t hesitate to stand up for his pack. He prefers the spring season, the season of rebirth, of renewal, the season of hope. Most of all, he prefers to see his pack in good order, happy and working together.
Special Skills
Being a top predator, Guardian possesses many great hunting skills. He is stealth, agile, and fierce. His strategic skills are matched by none. He battles only to protect his pack from threats, or to provide sustenance for them.
He is decisive and quick to act, yet his decisions are based upon his uncanny ability to grasp the meaning of the situation or the body language of all whom come in contact with him. All of which allows him to be a great leader.
As a mate, his compassion and care for Dare are unparallelled. Full of chivalry, he would give his life to save hers, if ever necessary.
