Character Description
Biography
The Queen Wildena is that perfect wolf that everyone strives to be. She is beautiful both in body and soul, a portrait of what a wolf should be. Every male wolf that meets her falls for her, and yet she never falls back. She has a heart of gold, and therefore only a wolf with a heart much the same is worthy of her. She is like a saint, giving of herself always and never asking in return. She blesses those below her with her presence, but is forever humble about her power. She helps those she can, comforts those she can't, and accepts the limits of her power. She knows love, but fears letting herself be free with it.

Wildena's mother gave birth young and died shortly afterwards due to a pregnancy-related illness. As a result, Wildena and her sister, Poppy Seed, were sent to live with their father. They stayed with him for many years, looking after him due to his rather old age and inability to hear. Wildena was always the responsible one - Poppy would shirk her duties and go off to have fun with her friends. Wildena never argued, simply looked after her father tenderly and lovingly. But when the time came for him to die, she knew she couldn't ever look Poppy in the eyes - she hadn't even cried at his burial. She decided to set off, and found her new pack shortly.

Wildena lay in the shade of a sycamore, the fall leaves hiding her under pale crimson light. Her sharp eyes followed the movements around her pack’s home clearing, studying carefully. Many regarded her as a silent Queen; she spoke only when necessary, and though gentle and soft in tone, all of her followers hushed at her words. Cowboy sat beside her, watching over the pack with her. “What do you see?” He asked her. She let her gaze trail over the wolves around her. “Everything,” she replied, her voice barely more than a hushed, lilted whisper. “You may be the warrior, but I am your eyes.” Wildena’s tail twitched, the tip flicking against her mate’s side. “We’re low on food, we will need to hunt soon.” Cowboy nodded, and stood. “On your word, my queen.” Wildena stood beside him, slightly smaller than her mate, and yet no less intimidating. She took two steps forward, braced her front paws in the soft dirt, and loosed a howl that shook the trees above her. The pack responded, each wolf adding their voice to their Queen’s. Wildena shook her coat out and took off deeper into the woods, nothing but the soft padding of the pack’s feet in the grass to fuel them on.

Silence echoes twice in the moon-shadow night, In crimson skies and patchwork light of Winter come to die. Whisper into wind your prayer for solemn life, the Queen forsaken comes again to claim her broken pride.
