Biography "Kaperei! Tell us a story! Please?" The voices of several juveniles - both a few moons old and some yearlings - spoke up from the den. It was teeming with these juveniles, and they all crowded around where the fae lay in the corner. She was a femora with 'Erythrism,' and had a low rank. Omega. She was - in truth - a nanny, and that was mostly because the juveniles loved her. She agreed - although she did not have much of a choice - because her own litter had been brutally murdered because of their mothers defect, and she missed them dearly. Caring for these young ones seemed to dull the ache within her chest.
"Alright, alright. Gather 'round, young ones." The voice of the fae spoke up softly, golden eyes twinkling with happiness at their excitement. But the story she wished to tell was not one of joy. "Where shall I start?" The female murmured softly, although none of the juveniles replied, as it was obvious that she was talking to herself. "Ah, yes. Once upon a time, in a far away land where the moon is a goddess, the sun a god and the time of dusk and dawn a spirit of a different kind, there was a small - yet strong - pack. Among this pack was a gorgeous female wolf. She was favored by many, indeed for her beauty and skills. But sadly she birthed what they called a 'bad pup,' one of a defect. Her name eludes me now, so what shall we call her? We will call her 'Our Lovely,' so as not to disrespect the she-wolf within the story, yes? Good.
"Regardless, Our Lovely was going to murdered for the crime in which she did not commit, and a pelt she could not control nor change. The thing that saved her life was perhaps the grace and kindness of those gods, or it may have been the way her mother fiercely defended her pup, but nonetheless, the pup lived. It was a terrible choice, for the she-pup was harrowed throughout life for something she had not wished to happen. Soon, when she was grown, a wolf found her pretty beyond her pelt. He saw her for her pretty form, and her well-built stature. 'Your eyes,' the male said, 'they are the most gorgeous gold I have seen. Indeed, they remind me of the glowing tails of the fireflies.' And so, when the spring came, Our Lovely birthed a litter. A gorgeous litter they were, but the females defect seemed to defect even them. Upon birth, they were killed. Their skulls crushed before the fae herself. She - understandably - was heartbroken.
"And so Our Lovely sobbed and cried long into the night, the words of the superior echoing around her brain. 'Your defect is an eyesore, and we must not have you bringing our pack down to your level,' the superior had said, their maw splattered in the blood of Our Lovely's pups. 'They had not even opened their eyes!' She cried, 'They had yet to see their Mother and Father. They knew us only by scent! Oh, great goddess of the moon, take care of my unfortunate pups!' She cried, praying to the moon just before it slipped beyond the horizon, and the harsh rays of sunlight began to beat her different pelt - just as the other wolves beat her.
"When Our Lovely returned to the camp that day, the wolves gave her glares and even the male avoided her. They had not shared whom she had mated with for the pups to happen, and it appeared that the once lovely male did not wish to be named. The ones whom called themselves her pack pushed her around, joked about her terrible affliction. 'She is not pretty,' they said, 'Who would mate and have pups with her?' It broke her heart, although not as much as her litter being killed. They shoved her to the ground with their broad chests and tell her to get up, only to do it again. She was malnourished, for many wolves did not allow her to eat. She was the lowest of the low, and she could do nothing to stop it.
"Soon, Our Lovely was offered a position within the pack other than their bag of bones to beat. She became a nanny. She loved the pups dearly, but they reminded her of her own litter. Oh, how much she wished they were not killed because of her own illness! So, instead of her maternal instincts disappearing, they became stronger towards the pups who belonged to another. She played with the yearlings, although avoided being seen for she would be punished. She told stories to the pups, anything to make them happy.
"Eventually, Our Lovely died of old age, her defected pelt littered with scars and tears because of something she could do nothing to change, and her gold eyes filmed over with years of her life spent crying in the darkness. She did not live a happy life, no, but she ran and howled with the moon goddess, where all are equal and none have a right to hold themselves higher than another. Finally, she was an equal with others whom she had shied away from in her living years. The End."

| Personality Kaperei is a timid wolf. She is constantly on guard being of a lower rank she needs to fight for her position within the pack not only because she is one of The Misaki Pack's omegas But also because she has a coat defect which has caused her a lot of grief amongst her pack. Her 'Erythrism' as Lünis, the pack's healer had described, was very ugly. If another pack member wanted her prey she would often be willing to hightail it.
Bio Continued The female finally finished, and the horror-filled faces of the pups told her that they believed that it was only a story.
"How horrible!" One gasped, another nearby having tears slipping down their face in grief for pups they did not bare, and the loss of a life of whom they hardly knew. Eventually, the group of juveniles dispersed to whimper among themselves. As they did so, none seemed to notice the way their nanny lowered her head grievously to her mitts. Nor did they notice the tears shining within her lovely golden eyes, the ones that male had once said reminded him of the glowing tails of fireflies.
Preferences Kaperei prefers to guard and watch over The Misaki Pack's Pup Den as they do not care for her pelt but love her kindness towards them and the gentle touch she has with new pups. Kaperei longs for her own little to raise that will be allowed to reach adulthood rather than birth a litter and have their skulls bitten to end their life. She misses her first litter dearly but by pupsitting she is able to push the painful past away.
Special Skills Kaperei has a special skill set with The Misaki Pack pups. She's a wonderful nanny to them all. Older pups love to play with her and she with them, she is careful to not be caught engaging in fun activities by other pack members though as she knows she will go hungry for several days as punishment.
