Aimee A-me
Meaning: French name for Beloved, Dearly loved
Made in honor of my grandmother who passed away on November 1st 2018. She wasn't my biological grandmother but she was more of a grandmother than my real ones. One of them had passed away before I was born and the other doesn't bother.
As soon as I could talk I called her "Gaga". Her actual name was no where near that and I couldn't say grandma so "Gaga" was what I called her. Even at my current age I still called her that. It wasn't even a week ago I spoke to her and we had plans for me to stay with her this weekend.
She was the kindest and one of the funniest women I knew. She was always there for me, whether I needed a ride for school years ago or just when I wanted someone with me. I was closer to her than my siblings were and when I found out she passed away around 4:04ish I was devastated. I miss her so much and would do anything to have her back. I love her more than words can say and I know she is resting and watching over me probably shaking her head since I have been a bum for the first day of her gone and probably will continue to be a bum for a while.
A story I want to share: When I was little, around 8 or 9, me and my younger sister would be babysat by Gaga on Saturdays. Our house was connected on the bottom floor so you could go from room to room in a circle. I don't remember how we came up with the game but my sister and I would run around the house in the circle and she would try and spank us with the broom (lightly of course). We would do this for a couple hours; her running after us with the broom and us getting tapped here and there. Eventually we grew out of the game and moved onto card games and Dunkin Donuts for breakfast (which she would bring even when told not to).
