Ambitious voices pound in his head, it's not enough, you haven't left a big enough legacy, there is no heir to the throne, when will you be as great as your predecessors?! As Kabuto watched Zion establish himself with the pack, he noticed how insecure this new wolf was. One day Zion would be dominant enough to be an Alpha, then he would wag his tail and shudder at the hip of the deer. Although the rest of the pack was fooled by his inconsistency, Kabuto would make him bow at his paws. During the next feast, the ambitious yearling pawed around the shoulders and neck of the kill. Noticing what he was doing, Kabuto sneered and trotted to the heart that Zion had his paws on. The Alpha curled his lips and placed his tail high. Each wolf took a turn claiming a peace and challenging each other with mightier stances and facial expressions. Zion gave in at the height of the battle, and curled his tail. The inexperienced wolf high-bred tilted his head and slowly shrank down as Kabuto pressed lower, and lower. That was the end of it; the pack would see how weak this wolf dog really was.
Thorough the years, Kabuto took a liking to Zion's ambition and took the black wolf under his wing. Although Kabuto could never have puppies of his own, Zion's Claw was the closest he's ever been. They never spoke heart to heart, or knew each other's troubles, but the two sparred together like father and son. Wisdom was passed.
