I remember my daddy's nickname, Bobcat,
How he used to surf,
How his love for the beach led him to the waves,
I remember how he used to work on the powerlines,
The way he showed me how he fixed them,
I remember how the unique smell of his shorts reminded me of vanilla,
Every time he hugged me when he came to visit.
I remember his love for me,
His great big bear-hugs,
How my heart warmed at the mention of his name.
My daddy was truly special to me, he was,
