Biography Orion glanced at the female his mother had just revealed, before he looked up at his mother. He didn't understand. Yes, he was the next in line for the alpha male position, but he hadn't showed any affection towards the countless female's Andromeda had tried to get him to form a bond with. The problem? The female's Andromeda brought back to the pack for him were feigning happiness. As soon as Andormeda would leave Orion and a female together the female would be looking at him in disgust. He was a fairly plain male, with not much to show for apart from being the next in line. The female's were power-hungry, so each time another member of Orion's pack would appear the female would pretend to be love-struck with Orion, just to be that one step closer to becoming an alpha female. "Mother, I need some time...to clear my head." Orion told Andromeda. He was not ready for another female to feign affection. "Orion dear...?" Andromeda called to her son as he padded away. "Be careful please." She told him before she turned to the female and whispered. "He'll warm up too you, I know he will. He's just a little shy, 'tis all."
Orion sighed as he came into a clearing amongst the dense trees. He allowed himself to sit on his haunches as he relaxed. He licked himself clean, ridding himself of the unholy scent of the newest female his mother had tried to get him to bond with. "Yuck!" He said as he spat out some of the female's fur that accumulated on his tongue. "Such an imbecile! How dare she? My own mother..." He said as he ranted to himself, though he didn't dare get too loud for fear of being heard. As he finished up, ridding himself of the last remaining scent of the newest female, Orion stood, ready to head back to the pack when his nose caught something. It was the smell of blood, mingled with wolf, female too. Sighing again Orion looked around. Nothing appeared to have come through, no bears no mountain lions, no bob cats, nothing. He doubled checked the air, trying to identify anything he may have missed, but he was sure there was nothing.
Orion began to venture a little further into the forestry, the scent of blood intermingled with female wolf grew ever more stronger as he did so. He padded forth, his ears perked and his tail upright, asserting his position, as of he were the alpha male, just incase it was a set up. As he pushed his way through the dense undergrowth, it tangled amongst his fur and he mentally cursed himself for searching for the source this bloodily scent. As soon as he emerged, he collided with another wolf, sending the pair of them tumbling towards the dry, dusty forest floor.
Orion moved, trying to get up again, but he lost his footing. This time, he only sent himself tumbling, landing on a she-wolf. He groaned and pushed himself upwards with his forepaws. He didn't want to stand on her with his back legs, after all, she could have killed him earlier when his windpipe was unguarded, but she hadn't. Holding his weight up with his forepaws, he waited briefly for his focus to regain. Once it had returned, Orion glanced at the she-wolf he had accidentally squashed. He soon found himself lost in her calming, emerald, green eyes before he looked away and focused on the roots of a nearby tree.
"I...errr...Sorry..." He mumbled before he went to move off of her. As he did so, the female's softer, under-belly fur brushed against his and he shivered. Pulling himself off of her, he got up, his senses returning to him. So /this/ female was the one he had smelt earlier. Looking her over, he realised one of her back legs was partially broken. 'Could that have been from me?' He thought worriedly. "I...errr, Miss, did I hurt you in anyway?" He asked her. He sure hoped he hadn't, what would his mother say.
He could just picture Andromeda; 'I bring this female, Lyndal, here for you! And you bring back this one? Look at her! She's..broken for pete's sakes!' Orion shuddered, no that was just him over reacting, but his mother would be very disappointed with him as she had gone out of her way to find him the perfect female, and he would return with a female whom he had possibly almost killed with his larger frame. Moving back to give the female some space, Orion looked away so he didn't make her uncomfortable. He couldn't exactly want to leave things the way they were.
