Biography
Moon Spirit is a hunter for the pack. She is best friends with Elegant Lilly and Storm Warning.
One day, Moon, Storm, and Lilly decided to leave the camp and go on an adventure. This was when they were pups, mind you. The three of them sneaked out of camp together in the middle of the night and ventured into the woods.
They played all kinds of games; they chased each other in and out of the fern fronds, the found hidden caves. They chased birds and practiced stalking squirrels. But their fun soon came to an end when there was a problem.
A huge owl was watching the three pups from the treetops. The pups where just the right size and had just the right smell for the old, shortsighted owl to mistake them for rabbits. He watched them play from his perch in the old oak tree, waiting for his chance to strike. Finally, he saw it.
He swooped from the trees, diving fast towards the three unsuspecting pups. He stretched out his talons and hooked him into the fur of the smallest pup, which happened to be Moon herself. She let out a terrified squeak as he began to lift her off the ground, her paws flailing helplessly in mid air.
"Moon! Hold on!" Storm called. They jumped and bit at the bird, pulling out mouthfuls of feathers. They clawed at him, trying desperately to make him release their friend. But the owl had no mercy. He beat the pups relentlessly with his powerful wings, making it hard for them to fight back. Finally, they decided to jump together.
On the count of three, the two pups jumped up and grabbed the old owl's feet, sinking their needle-sharp teeth into the scaly skin as hard as they could. The owl let out an enraged screech. He released Moon as they dragged him to the ground, and Storm killed him with a final bite to the throat.
Panting, the three pups just stood there looking at each other for a second. They then grabbed the owl and returned to camp, laying it on the prey pile. It was dawn, and the first wolves were beginning to wake up for the day. No one had even noticed that they were gone. One of the elders padded over to the prey pile, prodding the owl with his paw. "Hey," he called. "Who caught the owl?"
The three pups snorted and smirked as they crawled into the nursery den. No one would ever know about their amazing adventure. The three curled up to sleep, and sleep they did, almost the entire day.
