Heylo this is a poem I made a while back in response to Brugel's "The fall of Icarus" I hope you enjoy. Feel free to comment your own responses and give feedback on mine ^^ Without further ado....

Down, down, down

the boat dipped towards its crown.

The fisherman looked and sat all day

while the sheepman looked around for the gods to pray.

.

I called and called for a dead man's weep

praying hopeful for my soul to keep.

The icy waters tugged and grabbed

all the while the plowman napped.

The murky depths lurking down below

filling my lungs until they overflow.

Down and down my father shrank

my body like a rock that slowly sank.

I squirmed and kicked at such a force

my fathers face with such remorse.

My watery grave like a lonely fort

I wonder what they'll say in court.

.

All of a sudden a rising action

never did I expect such a reaction.

I floated up and up but my father's face stayed the same

looking about I see I'm floating...

never did I think my body could look so tame...

.

I've floated above all the rest

now heading toward the southwest.

Now I look down and wonder if I have passed gods test..?
