It is quite possible for a pup to inherit a pelt from a parent who was dyed. My female Stormsong, who was given an Alexandrite dye, recently gave birth to a female pup with the same pelt. I named the pup Stormsplitter

Mauve- is from the 1300s so she's been around so much she's just mauve at this point.
