So with the new OC auction I posed here: https://wolfplaygame.com/forums.php?f=4&t=32372
I was wondering, maybe I could open a YCH where many people's OCs would be included, any species (excluding a few) would be accepted
The winners of the OC auction would get a discounted AB/Preclaim, any remaining slots will be sold to anyone who wants a slot. Obviously, this would be a huge canvas so (maybe 5k-8k pixels in width?)
Suggestions? Anything to add? What not to add? How many slots should there be (there'll be a total of 5ish OCs sold in my auctions)
You can even add suggestions for my next auction! For example, what to draw, etc!
Since you're probably here for the discounts, let's get to it!

It might be best if there were a few more slots than 5 (since those with the OCs get a discounted AB/preclaim). Maybe 8-10? It also depends on your scheldule and all of that stuff, but overall I think it would give other people a chance to have their OC in it.
You could also come up with a theme for it, that way players can choose a character whose personality goes with the theme or a specific pose(?) to go with it. I remember there was a huge WP artist collab with a theme of a beach party, if that helps.
*starts thinking out of the box outside of the original box*
Another thing you could choose to do is to have a sort of sketch ready for people's OCs. It spreads out the work you would have to do at once and it gives people a better idea of what it would look like. As for the multiple species, you could pencil in a horse or monster under the bed or just a general blob to show how they would fit into everything.
(I'm a huge fan of your detailed headshots, maybe you could auction off one? I know that will also cause a boatload of mush and apples to 'magically' appear. ^^)

@Redmire- sounds like a good idea, I do like the detailed headshots/busts especially since I haven't had time to draw one in ages. 8 Sounds like a good amount ^^
A theme though? I'm not sure about that. I never put much thought into that.. ^^; |

I'm here to help with themes :u
Since your WP anniversary is right around the corner, you could have the theme circulating around that? One OC painting to represent the first reference sheets you ever sold. One OC racing up to another to represent the friends you made here. Maybe a third jumping into a pile of leaves, that represent the money you earned from those detailed headshots.
I dunno. My ideas aren't great but I'll do anything for a discount from your art :P |
