Depends. I usually spam the attack button, but sometimes after I've set each wolf on specific targets.

I really only set their targets if I'm training newbie wolves, if it's a difficult fight like with noc bosses.

I usually just go wild on the attack button but I'll sometimes pause and check to see how much mush I got from killing a creature. However, I also sometimes just make all my wolves target one creature if it has lots of health, and then spam the button again.

I spam the attack button and also read the attack log at the same time so it varies.
